I understand that the 18's are tuned for 93. How much are you losing on 91?
Plenty of 93 stations(BP) in my area, but not always the case everywhere you go.
Thanks.
Jack
Interesting factoid, you can't get the exhaust option without spending an additional $2000 for the 'Equipment Group' which is zoned ac, a fancy stereo and being to reconfigure the tach speedo about 4 different ways.
So the exhaust thing ends up costing $2900.
No thanks.
I posted this question recently on a thread re: 2018 10 spd 0-60 etc. and got no response.
Hopefully I won't invoke the wrath of the forum gods, but so be it.
Anyone have an opinion on whether this exhaust option is a benefit power wise, or does it just sound better?
Chevy has a similar offering...
Looking at an '18 GT auto. With the auto and perf package it stickers a little over $40000.
What's a reasonable expectation on my part for an out the door price?
Thanks.
Should have asked this sooner, but will the rest of the driveline support 550whp?
No drag racing, just an occasional run through the gears
I understand a more robust clutch is a given, but how about the trans, axles and rear axle?
MTR, a local mustang builder \tuner may be my salvation in terms of keeping my '06. We're even looking at the possibility of going to a Coyote motor swap.
Thanks Drive 55, I'm seriously in your debt. All 3 of those look promising and I will be contacting them Mon.
Apparently I didn't do my homework, as these are in my own backyard!
Not talking about quitting the hobby, but if getting serious power from my 06 is going to cost the moon, I'll probably dump it and go with an 08-10 LS3 vette.
Not sure I'm going stick with the Mustang. My one quote so far to build mine is 14k and change. L&M never responded to my email.
Jegs has a complete 15-16 Coyote motor for $6900, free shipping.
Would this be a viable option, i.e apx cost to get it in my 06 and running?
Just to clarify, the shops I talked to were not referring to swapping an LS3 or Coyote into my 06, but selling it and getting either or.
My original post may have been unclear.
KC Maxx was one of the two I met with and suggested I might be better off going the LS3 or Coyote route.
Strangely, they were also the ones who dyno tuned it last year.
My commitment to this car probably stops short of shipping motors and or driving to Texas or Florida to get the build done.
If I can't get it done around here, I'll probably sell it.
Any recommendations on a tuner\builder that's not 1000 miles from Kansas City?
Not being sarcastic, but it would be nice to find one a reasonable distance from me.
