Planning clutch job soon, anything I should add?

Planning to do a clutch job soon, wondering if anyone has some advice on any additional work I should go ahead and get done while I've got the trans out? It's a 2011 and over 160k so I'm sure there's some additional maintenance I should probably take care of. I'm thinking trans fluid...

    3.7 MT-82 removal, stuck...

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies. After doing further research he decided not to take any chances on the stock flywheel, and just to go full ham so we ordered the Spec stage 1 kit with the matching aluminum flywheel. We did the braided clutch line upgrade, Exedy throwout, and the Barton...

    3.7 MT-82 removal, stuck...

Well the problem turned out to be that we indeed missed 3 bolts at the top‍♂️ After those were removed it came right out. Now the new issue is that according to the machine shop we took it to, DM flywheels can't be resurfaced. And as prior mentioned, it seems that no one sells a new one. So is...

    3.7 MT-82 removal, stuck...

Yeah I currently have the engine supported by a 2x4 on a jack stand so it's pretty much staying in place. I've tried playing with the support under the trans to varying degrees of lift, from as much as it will go, to completely unsupported, and everywhere in between but I can't get it to budge...

    3.7 MT-82 removal, stuck...

Trying to swap the clutch in my brother's 2013, we've successfully gotten everything out of the way to get the trans disconnected from the motor, but it just won't budge. We removed 4 bolts from the driver side running from the bellhousing into the block, including the one at the top of motor...

Can't figure out this vibration issue

Well I have had the Ford Racing EPAS installed about a week ago. Now nearly $1200 and ~6 hours of cursing on my back in the driveway later, I can confirm Ford's Famous Fantastic Wheel Wobble has finally been cured. I'm still getting the "clunk" after crossing center, but I did not get that...

Can't figure out this vibration issue

Well after further research on the EPAS issue, I stumbled accross the Vorshlag thread and have conclusively determined that to be the issue. So thanks to everyone who pointed me in that direction:) I have decided to bite the bullet and just take out a small loan to get the M-3200-EPAS and get...

Can't figure out this vibration issue

Well, after more research I've come to the conclusion that it must be the rack. I realized I truly had no idea how the EPAS worked, as I always thought it was just a version of traditional hydraulic assist but with an electric pump. Yeah, oops. That explains why I could never find the pump...

Can't figure out this vibration issue

So I have some kind of update... I took the car to grab lunch earlier. When I got back and pulled into the parking space I noticed the ever so faintest of clunks when I turned to wheel to straight. After playing with the wheel back and forth for a bit I noticed that the clunk is definitely...

Can't figure out this vibration issue

What exactly would you recommend I unplug? The sensor connection? Or something else? Admittedly, I know basically nothing about the EPAS system... Yeah, that sounds basically exactly like what I am experiencing yep, that'd be nice.... I think we all would like to be there one day ;) I am...

Can't figure out this vibration issue

AFAIK power assist is still active, I haven't noticed any changes in steering response. Really hoping I don't have to take this to Ford to get it diagnosed :/

Can't figure out this vibration issue

I took it yesterday to have the codes checked but nothing came up... I put brand new rotors sometime last year, about 15-25K miles ago, hard to remember bc I put about 30K/yr on this car At this point I'm starting to feel like tie rods could be the only thing left, unless it's a ball joint...

Can't figure out this vibration issue

I have an OBDii smart device that hasn't pulled anything up, but I haven't had it checked with a reader. I can swing by A-Z tonight see if they pick up anything... To my knowledge all balancing has been standard method. I am not sure what's involved in a road force balance actually.

Can't figure out this vibration issue

Yikes I hadn't thought of that. It's a 2011 so I suppose it is a possibility... Any ideas what to look for to troubleshoot that? Could that be a steering angle sensor malfunction to cause that?

Can't figure out this vibration issue

I had considered that myself as well, but I would have though the tech would have let me know when he did the alignment if that were the case, and he said everything was fine. In fact he said everything was so good that I really didn't even need to have an alignment done when I brought it to...

Can't figure out this vibration issue

I've been plagued for a few months now with a rather serious vibration in my steering. All the troubleshooting I've done so far has not panned out so hopefully somebody can help. Specifically what is happening is that when I reach highway speeds, it varies - usually between 60-80 mph - I...

    2018 S500 factory rims/tires on 2011 S197

Thought it might be useful for someone for me to show you all what this looks like. I spied a set of basically brand new (<400 miles) GT takeoffs for $450. Couldn't resist the deal, even if they do come with the P Zero's. I've heard(read) a lot of flak about the Pirrelli's... some people love...
