My surprise had to do with the amount of axle re-centering adjustment available with the Ford Performance Panhard bar. I knew that I would get approximately 1" of lowering with the P springs, which was one of the reasons I selected them.

Installed my Ford Performance adjustable Panhard bar this morning. It didn’t go too badly. I’m expecting to use up nearly all of the available adjustment in re-centering the rear axle. This surprised me a little; the Ford Performance P springs I installed only lowered the rear end 1”.

Got my GT back! Replacement engine revs smoothly. Everything seems to work just fine. An rough idle problem was due to a new but bad Champion 7989 plug, per my mechanic. The bad 7989 was replaced with one of the old Motorcraft 2 piece plugs and things smoothed right up. Test driving this evening...

Thank you for sharing your experience, Candy 10. Mine has been a little different. The 4.6 30K mi. engine in an 08 Bullitt that I had ran smoothly with no ticking, as did the original 116K mi engine in my present 06 GT. Hopefully, my mechanic and I will find a way to eliminate the ticking...
