    C&L Manifold

"The biggest improvement, however, was achieved at 6,875 rpm...." Not interesting in revving my 4.6 that high.

    Can't get into gear

Bleeding the system might buy him some more time, and the remote reservoir would make it easier.

    Passenger door Ajar 05 GT

Sorry you have to go through that. There are few owners of used homes who don't question the sanity and intelligence of the previous owners. I think that's especially true of cool cars like Mustangs.

    BBK Long Tube Header Hardware

I installed BBK shorties a few years ago. I was able to reuse some of the fasteners. I will say this - use 6-point sockets only! Those little studs will round off in a heartbeat with 12pt sockets.

    Lito affected by the earthquake

There is a high probability of aftershocks for a couple weeks after an earthquake. Pray for Lito & Venezuela!

Am I late to the party on this?

That would be ugly indeed. I'm a little surprised no one -as far as I can tell- makes a box end wrench in that weird 5.5x7.5mm oval.

Am I late to the party on this?

That's cool. Looks a little more complicated.

Am I late to the party on this?

So I tried a 7/32" wrench on the piston rod on my rear shocks. The weirdo wrench shattered before I could torque down the shocks upper nuts. An adjustable wrench didn't work so great, and vise grips were about to tear it up. Turned out what I needed was Used that and a torque wrench on a...

New to the S197 Community What’s Your Favorite Mod?

I look back at the bolt ons I installed on my foxbodies: bigger MAS, 65mm tb, ported intake, GT40 heads, 1.72 roller rockers, headers, etc. It took a lot of time and money. I probably could have had more power at less cost and time if i had installed a vortec.

Biggest bang for the buck was underdrive pulleys. You have a lot of easy options for brake upgrades. Braided stainless steels hoses are easy & inexpensive. Upgrading to 2011 rotors is pretty easy, and there are other options. My car has about 160k miles, and I've changed all the control arms...

I take a shower once a month whether I need it or not, too.....

Check. Dial was sold as anti-odor b/c it killed the bacteria on skin that cause the aroma.

I take a shower once a month whether I need it or not, too.....

I had the feeling I waited way too long to replace them. I saw some people replace shocks/struts at 50k, and I was three times that. I was just unrealistic. I would push down on the rear, and the car would operate normally. I thought I was ok. It was only when I hopped up and used my fully...

I take a shower once a month whether I need it or not, too.....

I finally changed the rear shocks on my 08 GT. My baby only had 160k miles. I noticed that the motor would redline whenever it was pulling hard and I hit a bump in Michigan's wonderful roads. I installed some Monroe OESpectrum shocks today. I don't race my car, and it's my daily driver...

Knocking Noise after Undrive Pulley Install

I installed Steeda pulleys a couple years ago. They came with a bolt to replace the OEM alternator stud. Did they change the kit?

    Driver side Exaust manifold removal

When I installed headers I had to remove the motor mounts and lift the motor and inch or two. Definitely used 6 point sockets only. Best of luck!

Need some help. Looking for metal lower engine splash shield.

A friend of mine fabricated the one pictured from sheet aluminum. I assume you probably don't have any sheet aluminum laying about like my friend. I think you can get some 24" wide aluminum flashing from Home Depot for <$20.

    Weird noise..

If you don't have a code scanner, take your car to AutoZone or some such and ask to scan your codes. That should tell you why your check engine light is illuminated.

Can't get camber close, even with camber plates and bolts.

The mechanic who aligns my cars won't align a car until it has about 1,000 miles on new struts. Maybe give your new struts a chance to settle in and then recheck the camber?

    Brembo Brakes upgrade

Do I need anything other than the calipers, rotors, & pads? When I look at the RockAuto pic, the bracket appears to be part of the caliper. Is that correct? I upgraded to the 11 - 14 rotors a couple years ago, but next time I might try the GT-500.

What have you done to your mustang today?

Why is it so close? The mpg estimate in my 08 is usually 1.5 > reality?

    2005-2009 mustang design changes

the 5.0 Windsor engine, it came nowhere near matching the smoothness of the Modular 4.6 3V and it wasn't particularly happy revving above 5000rpm. I could not agree more. I noticed driving my 3V at night, it sounds like a turbine engine like an H-60. Good feeling.
