I finally changed the rear shocks on my 08 GT. My baby only had 160k miles.
I noticed that the motor would redline whenever it was pulling hard and I hit a bump in Michigan's wonderful roads.
I installed some Monroe OESpectrum shocks today. I don't race my car, and it's my daily driver. So far, the car didn't redline on the interstate today, and it definitely rides quieter and smoother.
is not bad. The only way you can torque the upper fastener is if you use a crow foot wrench on the nut, and something tiny on the rod. I used a 7/32" wrench on the rod and ratcheting box wrench on the nut. The 7/32 wrench broke, so I figured the nut was tight enough.
