Early S197 Coyote Swap Break Down

The TR3650 seems to be the weak link in this swap. How well is it holding up to the Coyote torque? And what clutch?

TIRE SIZE / TIRE BRAND HELP

I think stkjock is wondering why you have 285s on the front and 255s on the rear. The ride is not going to be comfortable on an S197 at those widths. Maybe go back to a stock 235 square setup if comfort is your main concern.

    engine block ???

The Teksid can also be found in the 1993-1998 Lincoln Mark VIII. Also, the 3V Mustang block is generally considered to be at least as strong as the Teksid.

    Behind clear plastic Headlight cover

If you are trying to remove the headlights you have to remove the bumper cover, which is not difficult. Having removed the front cover on a bunch of S197s I can do it in about 15 mins w/an electric driver.

    S650 REVEAL

I couldn't agree more. In the late summer of 14 I was in the market for a new Mustang, as I am now. Once I saw the 15 the choice was obvious. The S550 was the worst looking Mustang I had ever seen. Great car, but just looked horrible. I'm in the market again for a new Mustang and the S650 reveal...

How To: Dash Blend Door Actuator Replacement 05-09 Mustang

The 10-14 HVAC plenum is different from the earlier S197s, so yes the actuators are in different locations.

    Help can't shift into gear!

Same thing happened to me recently. Trashed the slave cylinder under very aggressive driving conditions. Do as Midlife Crises suggests and see if it will go into gear with the engine off. Sure sign of a failed slave. Also, if you start the engine does the starter pull the car forward. Also a...

Early S197 Coyote Swap Break Down

The more classic body style is definitely the 10-14. It has the 65-73 "hump" in the quarter panels and the tail lights are also better, especially the 13-14. 05-09 is more retro along the lines of the PT Cruiser/Chevy HHR/DEW Thunderbird. But to each his own.

Early S197 Coyote Swap Break Down

Very nice series. One of my cars is a 2010 GT. Looks like a Coyote car, but it's a 3V. Debating on whether or not to do the swap.

    The Electric Mustang

That's no truck. Ford is down to two real vehicles-F-series and the actual Mustang.
