06 Mustang GT [Noise under valve cover]

Even if its not a rocker Moccubus it cant do any harm to replace them as they don't look in tip top shape and at least you can rule out the click from them.

What have you done to your mustang today?

Just drove past mine in the pickup in the rain, glanced over at it and went into the house:confused:

    A/C refill DIY - questions

Wont matter to me if they start taxing in city's as I don't have any close and there's no ulez zones in cities here yet. Yes the internal camera can be annoying as we have a 2025 MG Phev and it bing and bongs away when you yawn too much or look out the window but thankfully the wife drives it...

06 Mustang GT [Noise under valve cover]

I've only ever heard the guys that know these engines inside out only ever recommend the Ford performance parts

06 Mustang GT [Noise under valve cover]

That one doesn't look too bad but better to replace it as a prevention, especially for those that live outside the USA where cams seem to cost the earth to acquire.

    A/C refill DIY - questions

Not the classics, I meant more modern Diesel stuff with the euro class emission bolt on crap that costs thousands to fix when it fails, The reason I would only buy a petrol or hybrid for a family car now.

06 Mustang GT [Noise under valve cover]

You see the slight marking starting on the cam where the new roller is fitted but this roller was not making any noises yet and felt only very slightly rougher turning than the new roller.

06 Mustang GT [Noise under valve cover]

LOL I have fluid build up in my ears at times and I thought the engine was running in that video :Big Laugh: Sorry for the error. Looking at them photos, is that metal particles on the cam on photo 4 from the top? On photo 5 the top roller in the photo looks like the polished surface has gone on...

    A/C refill DIY - questions

I never got one and I might never get one. Yes it could be an issue getting one ATM with the Russian steel rule. Rock auto have them, I only drive it in summer and our summers usually aren't that hot. Maybe if I really want to have the last broken bit working on the car I might tackle it at...

    A/C refill DIY - questions

I got mine filled professionally about two years ago but it didn't cool very well, compressor kept kicking on and off every few seconds, I got an orifice tube and a new air dryer the next year and I tried topping it up with a home kit. It was at the right pressure but then but no cold air again...

    Cams and timing

I forgot I had ordered con rod bolts from them just over a year ago. I don't remember how I got them ordered from Tasca but I found the emails last night. I'm getting forgetful in my old age :Big Laugh: but then I shopped and hunted in so many places last year for bits to rebuild that engine.

    Cams and timing

How do you get them to ship to Germany GriffX. They seem to only accept US zip codes on the website?

    Cams and timing

From what I see lately Rock auto is operating its on turnover rather than customer experience. I'm sure they sell a lot of parts into UK and Europe but they are aren't bothered processing the paperwork sent in by suppliers certifying Russian steel is not used in products they are selling. Half...

Clutch ..time for a change ?

On the auto flex plate I think they were TTY, not sure about manual but possibly hard to source originals unless they are cross compatible with other ford cranks? You can always can get ARP bolts as I got recommended on here. That's what I got as genuine were hard to source and any I found were...

Website erratic over this last few days?

It either wont load, partially load or get the SSL handshake message fail. When I do get in it takes forever to post or refresh a page. Nearly impossible to use since Sunday

    Help identifying adjustable coils

I had a mid rise lift before I bought the two post. I have back issues and the mid lift had cross ties which left restrictions to working on transmissions etc. The one in the photo was similar to mine and restricted access for a creeper underneath. Two post is a good all round lift choice for me...

    Help identifying adjustable coils

I had no bother on speed bumps with them, from memory I think it was an inch of a drop. Shocks really only cushion your ride and are quite happy with varying ride heights. Picture added before the Eibachs were installed. I have a 2 post lift and i had no issues getting the legs under with the...

Just got my revised tune from him last week, I knew he lived in south America somewhere but didn't realise he lived in Venezuela. So glad he and his family are OK, A real gentleman to correspond with.

    Help identifying adjustable coils

Maybe a set of Eibach lowering springs would suit better? I had a set on the standard stuts and shocks on 20" wheels. All you require is a decent set of standard struts and shocks if you purchase the springs or similar ones I see other members recommended. Picture attached of the Eibachs fitted.

    Help identifying adjustable coils

Those little knobs on the top turn clockwise and anti clockwise to adjust, IIRC its 24 clicks clockwise to either reach the softest or hardest setting. Try it out on the front ones, I found the rears are a bit more tricky to adjust the ride height with 19" wheels, trying to achieve the correct...
