Trying to fix my screwed up mustang + parts compatability question

So something cool you could do is buy the S197 II K-member to be able to install the EPAS (electronic power steering) and get some more horses as well as mpg!

Retrofit ideas from late S197 into early S197?

Homelink would be killer!!! I think it will, but you’d have to somehow figure out how to wire it all up… shouldn’t be too hard. just gotta order a headliner wiring kit. if you do that, you’d mind as well buy the newer map light too… it’s not much different, unless you could figure out how to use...

How to Install a 2010-2014 Mustang Steering Wheel into a 2005-2009 Mustang

haha. it’s so frustrating, the little issues end up making you look all around at all the possible different problems with the car, yet it’s something right there with your own wiring

A BIG (possible) Wiring Project! (S197 II Interior Harness into S197 I)

Alright! I’ve done some minor changes to my 2007 S197 v6, but there are a couple things that I am extremely interested in, and haven’t seen many ideas/information about them: First!! For ANY professionals with gauge clusters, i’ve got a big question for you! How difficult would it really be to...

How to Install a 2010-2014 Mustang Steering Wheel into a 2005-2009 Mustang

Gotcha… I haven’t wanted to mess with the airbag with the battery connected. too nervous that something bad’ll happen - aka BOOM! i’ll definitely try that today at some point, sounds like it’ll work.

How to Install a 2010-2014 Mustang Steering Wheel into a 2005-2009 Mustang

I don’t know the part number, unfortunately. My horn is having issues (doesn’t work at all), and i’ve been trying to figure out if it’s the u plate you’re mentioning, or something else… tear :(

How to Install a 2010-2014 Mustang Steering Wheel into a 2005-2009 Mustang

Ohh, one of those. I don’t really need a guide, I just figured i’d throw that one in there just in case anyone had some head unit that was weird and needed the PAC, haha. :D

How to Install a 2010-2014 Mustang Steering Wheel into a 2005-2009 Mustang

Hm, interesting about not needing the PAC. Every time I’ve watched tutorials on YouTube or read articles, they require a PAC except for the Dynavin head unit (and a few others with similar installation requirements/wiring) Good to know, and thank you!

How to Install a 2010-2014 Mustang Steering Wheel into a 2005-2009 Mustang

Thanks so much buddy! I didn’t do this alone, I did use a couple of other tutorials out there! I think we should start revising some of these old tutorials and making them new and better again, I think it’ll benefit the new users tenfold, to be honest. Thank you!

How to Install a 2010-2014 Mustang Steering Wheel into a 2005-2009 Mustang

Hello everyone! I decided to create an in-depth tutorial on how to create the wiring harness and install a 2010-2014 Mustang steering wheel with audio controls into an 2005-2009 Mustang! I know there's been a couple tutorials out there, but this one is supposed to be the "end-all"...

Gear shift issue on 07 automatic

Hey everyone! So I figured I’d come on here and confirm my theories… I’ve got an 07 v6 with an automatic shifter, and i’ve had many many many… problems with the gear shift. For starters, I’ll put it in park/neutral, and the RPMs would drop drastically or completely just kill the car. the SES...

Retrofit ideas from late S197 into early S197?

oh wow! good idea, it sucks, because technically you’d have to go through all the hassle to get a newer audio-controlled steering wheel, the same as the 05-09’s just because you don’t have the right harness

I've seen that too, apparently they fit pretty darn well, I've been wondering about the seat situation, seems pretty hard to do but man I'd like them!

Also, noticed you wrote down "Strip Pin 3 Blue wire", yet never used it. I assume (after looking at your pictures) that you accidentally wrote down to connect the BROWN wire to the WHITE wire, when in reality, you meant to connect the BROWN wire to the BLUE wire. I also saw it in another thread...
