What have you done to your mustang today?

Last Wednesday got hit by a stone on the passenger side of the windshield. Resulted in the classic star break. Today they came over to the house to do the repair. Ten minutes after they arrived, setting up to do the repair, cleaning the glass, the guy stepped over to the van to get more cleaning...

transmission delay tiny bubbles in fluid.

You aren't filling it - you think it is overfilled, but when it is in park and you fill it I found that it doesn't fill properly. The proper process as I was told when I had this issue was that the car needs to actually be in drive in order to get it to the correct level.

What have you done to your mustang today?

Actually yesterday (Saturday, April 18, 2026) went to the National Mustang Day event for MOCSEM, started the day at Flat Rock Assembly Plant where the Mustang is built. Had a police escort for about 100 Mustangs parade over to I-275 for a drive to the second location. Steve Saleen was there to...

What else would you do "while you're at it".

On the 4.0 a common failure part is the plastic thermostat housing. It is often misdiagnosed as a bad water pump. Usually the coolant spews back under the intake manifold so look for evidence of a leak on the backside of the housing. It isn't a matter of "if" the plastic housing will fail, only...

    Supercharger install shop around Detroit?

Check Alternative Auto, Lidio does a great job and tunes. No idea what he charges to put a supercharger on but you should check with him. He is on the east side of Detroit (Chesterfield, in Macomb County).

2010 mustang stalls immediately after start

When you replaced the coil pack and wires did you connect them properly? One side is in numerical order (driver I think) but the other side is not and it is a common mistake when connecting it back up. Is the coil pack OEM or aftermarket? People have had issues with the aftermarket coil packs...

    The Copart Salvaged S197 3.7L

Good luck with your project. As someone who tried to turbo a 3.7, and blew it up 3 times, I can tell you that engine is not boost friendly. It doesn't handle more than 8lbs of boost well.

    2007 GT Rear suspension concern?

Actually a better shot would be a picture on ramps so that the suspension is loaded for the picture. If it is hanging, like in the pictures you posted, that doesn't really tell what is happening. In fact, when you put the control arms on the car, did you install them that way? In other words...

What have you done to your mustang today?

Correct, hit the wrong number - 255 on the front.

What have you done to your mustang today?

    I have a 2024 with that wheel and tire set up: 245 x 40 x 19 front (correction 255) 275 x 40 x 19 rear

What have you done to your mustang today?

I took my 2024 to the dealer because of a noticeable "clunk" in the front going over any bump. Had to replace a front strut. All good now, and done under warranty.

    08 Mustang with x-charger

Xcharger has gone closed business so you can't contact them anymore. But if you go to Facebook and look for the page for Mustang Collective, many of the members there had Xcharger cars and may have manuals and such that can help you.

Yeah, that looks like the airbag deployed and someone stuffed it back in.

Hate to ask, but give me your opinion on the best thermostat housing

As far as I know there is only one aluminum thermostat housing for the 4.0. And it is worth getting because the plastic one WILL fail.

    Grille emblem question

That is similar to the OEM both the MCA Edition grilles and the GT/CS grilles, but it is not the same. For the MCA the color is different - silver, this looks more like the GT/CS black. The other things is on both the OEM grilles, the upper grille has a spot embossed for the pony on the driver...

5R55S slipping from dead stop only?

If you are having slipping after replacing fluid then likely you didn't get a full refill. You have to get the transmission up to operating temperature in order to completely fill it and most of the time in DIY cases that isn't done.

What have you done to your mustang today?

Emptied the oil catch can on my 2024 yesterday. Let it go for 5,000 miles this time - 2 track days and 2 days on the drag strip in that time frame. Can was pretty full, about a half inch from the top.

What have you done to your mustang today?

Getting colder here in SE Michigan. Several mornings at or below 40 degrees already. So swapped my summer wheels and tires to the winter wheels and snow tires on my 2024 GT.

What have you done to your mustang today?

For the replacement lug nuts? There are lots of options. You can go to various parts stores and look for them. A popular replacement is the "gorilla" brand. But I don't have the part number handy.

What have you done to your mustang today?

It's getting colder here in SE Michigan so I swapped my summer wheels and tires for the winter wheels and snow tires. Already had several mornings just under or at 40 degrees so it was time. I also changed all the lug nuts over to solid ones. The Ford 2 piece were starting to swell and jamming...

What have you done to your mustang today?

Went to Lapeer International Dragway for some test and tune today. Probably the last day they will be open for the season. Nice day, temperature in the 50's, wind coming mainly from behind and a little from the left, which is unusual for there where we usually are fighting a headwind all day...

    Roush Mustang V6 Lowering Springs

Short answer, yes. If you lower at all and don't replace or shave the bump stops the axle will hit hard and the ride will be harsh.

    Roush Mustang V6 Lowering Springs

When you swap the rear springs be sure to either swap to the shorter Ford Performance bump stop on the rear or cut the top "nipple" off the stock bump stop. If you don't do that it will give really harsh ride.
