    maybe they dont and thats fine. everyone has their opinion and i wont lose sleep over it. im sure other shops wont have trouble spending my money... i have not had trouble with the parts or tunes, just getting things from them is my only problem.

    the only deck height diffence is 4.6 to 5.4. they call these modular motors for a reason. damn near all of them are the same configuration and you can interchange heads on them with little to no effort. 5.4 heads fit a 4.6 and the other way around. where people run into trouble are the intakes...

    thats where the difference is...a slot style maf will measure more air in suck-through(before power adder) than blow-through(after power adder). i have never heard of one pegging at 4.5 though. i used to push my lightning mafs (90mm) to the edge (4.97) before going up on the mafia.

    thats not my video. thats one that made the noise mine did. since i changed my fluid mine doesnt make it anymore so i cant make a video of mine. the car in the video you can hear the rattle as it dies when he cuts it off.

    you dont NEED springs but it wouldnt hurt. you do need phaser limiters or lockouts. i have mutha thumprs and i didnt change springs.

    :stir: well that maybe...so how did me changing the fluid to rp totally stop mine? i hear it all day everyday. i changed fluid last night and havent heard it once today. mine has low miles, has not been to a track yet and hasnt been beat on so the tranny being broke shouldnt be an issue.

    yeah trans fluid but ford says its the same as the mercon v they put in the 4r100 automatics. the service manager kept just calling it automatic transmission fluid (ATF) mine does it anytime the car idles below 950 rpms. ill go play with it in a little while and see what it does.

    the only problem i have ever had with superchargers in the cold is pegging the maf. i would say just make sure that they dont tune you to the edge of your maf and you should be fine.
