Thinking about selling my old Stang

It's sold for $8470 :snoopfacepalm: Not too happy about that considering how many mods I put into it but I knew that mods do not increase the value, it's basically lost $$$.

Thinking about selling my old Stang

I'll take it to Carmax to see what they'll offer. Worst case, I drive away :)

Thinking about selling my old Stang

I have a 2005 Mustang GT premium that I'm thinking about selling. It's an automatic transmission with some light mods: CAI, differential, and suspension mods. It has 85K miles on it. It's in decent condition for a 17 year old car - typical wear and tear. How much is it worth?

    Crappy FM radio reception

Not too hilly. Average I guess. I have another car that has much better reception.

    Crappy FM radio reception

I have 2005 Mustang GT and it gets pretty poor FM radio reception compared to other cars. I would have thought with that huge antenna that it would pick up stations in other states but such is not the case. Would a new head unit fix that? FYI, I still have the original Shaker 500 unit.

Replaced my fuel pressure sensor today !

I was getting a P0193 CEL code. I looked that up and apparently that's caused by a faulty fuel pressure sensor. I bought a new one here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C81T99M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Installed in like 5 minutes. Would have been faster had I not...

How's the radio reception with shorter antennas?

I have a 2005 Mustang GT with an antenna that looks like a fishing rod !! I hate the way it looks ! But I'm afraid that my radio reception will diminish if I get those "shorty" antennas. My radio reception isn't that great to begin with. I have a stock Shaker 500 unit FYI. Anybody with...

I'll be attempting this soon. I managed to change my spark plugs so I should be able to do this :)

How hard is it to change rear brake pads and rotors?

I found the tool for $19 Amazon.com: Neiko 20733A Disc Brake Caliper Wind Back Tool Kit | 12-Piece Set: Home Improvement. I think you also need caliber hangers. I've seen some make them out of clothes hangers.

How hard is it to change rear brake pads and rotors?

I watched some videos and it seems like it's not too bad. The only special tool it seems you need is the one that pushes/rotates the piston in. That I can buy for less than $40 on Amazon. 2005 Mustang GT in case it makes a difference but they're probably all similar.

Should I attempt to change spark plugs myself?

Ok, I've encountered my first problem. The socket I have is not deep enough for the spark plug. What socket should I get ? Anyone have any recommendation? Will any 9/16 deep well socket do or is there a specific one I need? Do I also need a thin wall socket as well or is deep well enough?

Should I attempt to change spark plugs myself?

I intend to put some dielectric grease on the inside of the tip of the boot where it touches the plugs. Does that sound like a good plan?

Should I attempt to change spark plugs myself?

Do I need to change the engine oil after changing my plugs? Some say the carb cleaner (deep creep in my case) will mess up your engine oil.

Shop quoted $1200 to replace front control arms and tie rods

I ordered my GT500 front control arms (pair) for $292 shipped. I got it from AmericanMuscle.com and used a promo code to get $10 off. The shop quoted a price of $245 per control arm and those would be the OEMs for a total of $490 for the pair. I know shops have to make a profit but that's too...

Should I attempt to change spark plugs myself?

Thanks. I was afraid the plugs would break on that initial 1/8 turn.

Should I attempt to change spark plugs myself?

How much force is required to initially turn the plugs ? Do the plugs typically break during the initial turn or later? I heard that you should not exceed 35 ft-lb of force.

Shop quoted $1200 to replace front control arms and tie rods

This video shows how to do the install: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhnpHfLvCH4&t=173s It does seem to me that you need to know what you're doing before attempting this or else you're going to get stuck or break things.
