After further research I think it'd be easier and better in the long run to just buy some used valve covers, have them re-powder coated but without the bead blast prep. Pissed me off because they cam out so great!

I'm using the one from autozone. To have something to push against, instead of the cone piece they provide, I screwed in the old balancer bolt all the way in the crank snout and have the puller bolt seated on the head of the old crank bolt. I have only been using a 1/2" wrench, not a braker bar...

Bringing an old post back but I'm having difficulties pulling my balancer off too. The bolts at the locations where the instructions say to use for the balancer pulley are way too short to use with the tool so I went and got longer bolts. I'm assuming this is what has to be done? The 3 bolt...
