    Best Corner carver street tires....

NT05 is quite good when tarmac is dry, but it is horrific when soaked wet.

Seibon vs. VIS Racing carbon fiber OEM Hood - which is better?

4.10 works for me relatively fine. I hate the long 5th gear though. When I had standard Stage 3 with minor mods 415HP / 3700lbs I only used 5th gear on long straight for a brief moment. Now with 500HP / 3400lbs and much less rotational mass I am shifting to top gear in 6 sections on my...

Seibon vs. VIS Racing carbon fiber OEM Hood - which is better?

Yes I bought regular (wet) CF pieces. I treat them as direct replacement for damaged oem parts, with added bonus of maybe some weight saving and venting. Dry carbon is too expensive for my driving skills. During my last circuit day I overcorrected and smashed the car sideways against...

Seibon vs. VIS Racing carbon fiber OEM Hood - which is better?

I have ordered Seibon Carbon TS hood with oem style CF trunk and CF doors. It is on its way to me. I will post pictures and exact weight of those parts. As well as report on the finish and fitment. Jan

S197 tts/aix build start to finsh

Thank you for that link. Reading through it just made me realize "don't mess with stuff you don't understand entirely". I love the look of APR and understand there are probably better solutions for our cars. But as you stated previously at the end its about what you expect from your...

S197 tts/aix build start to finsh

Why did you get rid of it? I assume the G-stream has better aero.. But is it worth it? Isn't 600lbs at 120mph too much? Well I guess i would need to modify my trunk space and create some kind of support construct. By any chance do you have a picture of G-Stream wing on s197. I cannot somehow...

S197 tts/aix build start to finsh

Marksti, I know you were considering Roush trakpak wing, but went with APR GTC wing with Gurny flaps. Can you tell me which size you chose and why? I finally overdid it on Slovakiaring and going for dedicated track car build. Thanks, Jan

Seibon vs. VIS Racing carbon fiber OEM Hood - which is better?

Why go carbon fiber hood? Just make holes in your current one. You get 2 results: lighter hood and cooling solution :) Thats what I did anyway..

Steeda REAR brake uprade kit ?

I had it and do not recommend it. reasons: uneven rotor wear towards the edges rotors lasted half a season then I had to replace them it just doesn't feel/break any better compared to stock, it is a cosmetic change I actually snapped the left rotor during racing (material flaw?) did I mention...

    Steeda Adjustable Coilover suspension tuning

The worst thing I found, was the inability to work with stiffness and rebounce separate. I needed to make it softer but then I was driving like on a chariot. I admit I don't like the Tokicos much.

    Steeda Adjustable Coilover suspension tuning

I had the Steeda adjustables with front 225 and rear 200 for half a year. Front was too soft and rear was too stiff. Biggest problem was the dumping waves going from front to rear and back. Anyway 250 front and 175 rear worked best for me.

    Need Stickier Stock Type Tire

Not that great in rain and loud as hell. They sound like jet plane at 80mph. Try Bridgestone Potenza good grip and not rated as semislicks

S197 Brake Tech Q&A with an FRPP Engineer

Ok, I have found where they sell FORD MUSTANG FR500 M-2353-A. Can anyone link me to where I can get the GT500 HCU? Is there something else needed in order to make that work? Thanks, Jan

    racing rims and wheel

You are correct the Roush Forged wheel is 18x10" 45mm offset. I was able to fit maximum 275/40 to the front with that setup. To be honest it was no problem as Roush stage 3 suspension is made for it. After switching to Steeda adjustable coilovers (Tokico based) it became an issue as wider...

    racing rims and wheel

Here is the summary: Wheels are RFP1 18x10" 38mm offset Tires are Nitto NT05 295/35 R18 Wheels clear for big calipers with no problem at all. I do have Stoptecs. My friend (GT500) got same wheels accommodating 6piston Wilwoods. At Front I have -2 camber so the wheels do not extend beyond...

    Suspension recommendations

Well I've been road racing R888 for past 2 years and cannot recommend them. They get too soapy after couple of rounds on circuit and you start sliding way too much with them. They get really unpredictable after being abused on our heavy cars. I believe those were developed with much more...

Not happy with the stangs handling

I completely understand your feelins. Yesterday I had an opportunity to switch cars with my fiend for 50 miles. It was Ferarri 430 Scuderia. I have never driven Z06, but be assured that suddenly my car felt floaty dangerous to drive at the same speeds again. The rigidity, performance and...

Feedback on Nitto Invo tires for track use

Not a chance!. With 220 or 260 Treadwear you are safe for at least a couple of days of autocrossing :) I am using NT05 with 200 treadwear now for circuit racing. In my division its prohibited to use semi slicks and I can report 5 days of usage is no problem.

Griggs has some quality calipers which may be used on stock rotors as I recall. Am I correct?

    racing rims and wheel

Roush Forged wheel 18x10" does not have enough clearance beyond 275 width in front. 295 in rear with no problem though (tested). Its heavy and I would not recommend it for tracking. Thats why I bought Enkei 18x10" with 38mm offset. Now all around 295/35.
