I feel like the car feels so floaty and sluggish compared to the Z06, i know i know... im comparing it to a Z06 but still.

Thats all i think, i used to think this car handled like a dream but now i think otherwise.

I completely understand your feelins.

Yesterday I had an opportunity to switch cars with my fiend for 50 miles. It was Ferarri 430 Scuderia. I have never driven Z06, but be assured that suddenly my car felt floaty dangerous to drive at the same speeds again.

The rigidity, performance and brakes in Scuderia are another dimension.

But, what the hell this morning I woke. Sat in my car, drove it hard and it was good fun again.

I just can't get this feeling outta my head what if I bought something more "chirurgical" :)

I spent lots of seat time in an 'old Celica GT (momentum car) playing with Miatas before racing in my Corvette. There are a lot of benefits to driving a Mustang GT before moving up to a C6 Z06. For instance, you need to be smoother (steering input) to keep the car balanced, must consistently hit the apex, maintain your speed and momentum through the proper use of brake, gas, and following the line, etc. If you can master those basic factors in a lower horsepower car with a less sophisticated suspension and braking system, you're going to fly in the Corvette. Otherwise, the additional horsepower is only a "CHEAT" on the straights, and the guys running in the Miatas will eat your lunch in the turns and esses. The best performance mod is the "Nut behind the Wheel".
