    Yes it is in the tune,your fuel trims just need adjusted to increase sooner if that makes sence.

    I had a whipple on my 07 and every now and then i would tighten the slider pulley they came with and it was good as new again.

    I have the 2200 with the mutha thumpr cams. Seems like i need to twist it a little harder to make up the the low end loss, but up top it pulls very hard with a 10lb pulley.

    i say get something else instead of the intake and TB not big gains with those and the TB can give you trouble when trying to tune.

    How high should I rev on stock valvesprings?

    I spun my motor to 6900 w/ stock springs when i was N/A but with the blower i am only going to 6700 with stock springs and motor. Some say they will float after 6500 but i have not ran into that problem. I have a forged motor in my garage so i tend to push this stock motor over the limit.

    i have nothing against mail-order tunes but most are on the conservative side for a good reason,i found to get best results with a hands on tuner because every car can be alittle different with the same mods:2cents:

    Sorry to here this Bruce, Don't forget i have this long block at my house if you need something to compare to. We can pull the timing cover off it and compare it with how yours is set up, just a thought.

    he is a great guy in our area for the hands on tuner. Tuned my car to a tee. Good luck and hope it goes good without issues.

    I have wondered this very thing. I like the compression of our stock motors, if only the rods were better. Like to see what others have to say. I know people will say while you have it apart do everything.I have always heard the rods giving out not the pistons

    no tune required with cop's but they benefit more with F/I applications, and i did gap mine a little more with them and no problems with spark blowout:thumb2:

    I believe you because i am doing it also with those same mods, 554rwhp sae. Paxton for the win i guess. But my injectors are maxed with this cooler weather so i upped the fuel pressure to compensate a little.There is some guys that are on here that are having a dyno day Mar. 13th I will attend...

    built motors with lower compression will take the 20* on pump, but i wouldn't try it on a stock boosted car. I run 16* on a 10lb pulley with pump gas:2cents:

    Dragstar or Jegs?

    i got the jegs and not sure if they still do it, but got front blems for 63.00 each and the rears i think were 90.00 each. Could not even figure out why they were blems and they balanced fine.

    Ideed you are right, i have a built forge motor in my garage waiting,just figured i would see how long i get out of this motor.     i would say datalog the car and see if it is pulling too much timing on the big end, could be a fuel issue or something. Just an option

    if you want the sound with the power, I have the mutha thumprs, The car made 354/327rw with the cams and bolt-ons, and threw a 10lb novi kit on it and it made 554/476rw all sae#s. of course no track time to back it up yet

    i run mine at 15 to 16 with a 10lb pulley on pump gas, but my stock motor is maxed rwhp wise, might be able to get more timing than what i can run
