05 Convertible top latch broken

Howdy all,

The driver's side latch point on the top of the windshield header is broken. There's a little roller that's supposed to be there, but the metal broke around it, so the car has excess wind noise and a rattle that is alleviated by pulling down on the center handle.

Anyone dealt with this before? Is it as simple as finding a junk yard part and swapping it? Without taking it apart yet, it looks like this piece may be riveted or welded to the top of the windshield structure, which would be a big PITA.

I did some pretty thorough searching, but failed to find a thread dealing with this. Apologies if my search skills failed me and thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Old thread, sorry for bringing it back to life but the manual seems to be describing how to replace the latches themselves. My latches are fine but I can't find the windshield side where the latches lock onto. Are they replaceable and what on earth are they called so I can order new ones?? Very puzzled here...
