17x8 tires sizes?

what width tires will fit on factory 17x8 wheels? i was looking into 255's but wasnt sure how they would fit. thanks.

they will fit and look just fine, some even go as far as a 275, but that is pushing it a bit!

I think 255 is the prudent choice.
