All, looking for some help on this one. I was looking at running a 19x10 square setup with the American Muscle 2013 GT500 wheels. wheel data is below but wanted to see if anyone knows if these will clear Brembo's? Looking at the backspacing versus my Brembo wheels I believe they will fit fine but want to sanity check it with some of our wheel guru's...

Manufacturer: AmericanMuscle
WheelsStyle: 2013 GT500
Size: 19x10
Finish: Gloss Black
Placement: Rear Only
Centercap Size: Large (2-1/2")
Back Spacing: 7.39" (187mm)
Offset: +48mm (1.89")
Bolt Pattern: 5x4.5" (5x114.3mm)
Weight:
Material: Aluminum
Lip Size : N/A
Best Tire :275/40-19
Year/Model:2005-2014 All

I realize the design of the wheel has a serious influence on its Brembo brake-clearance properties, not just the backspacing and offset. I don't know what the offset of the Brembo wheels is. If the offset on the ones you describe is 48mm, that means the wheel sits 3mm closer to the centerline of the car than the 18x9.5 GT500 wheels, if I'm not mistaken. As long as the design of the back of the wheel will accommodate that "inset" without contacting the brakes, no problem.

I have 19x9 front wheels that clear Brembos; their offset is 30 mm, and the design leaves just a few mm between the calipers and the spokes.

Thanks Frank, I believe the Brembo package rims are +42mm which is what lead me to believe the offset would work. I will be running 285-35-19's. I know others have run 19x10's but wasn't sure about the offset or if I would need spacers to get around the Brembo brakes.

Probably ok, but I haven't seen it/tried it with that wheel. I would worry about tire sidewall to strut clearance

That wheel is gonna be sunkin in quite a bit. I have a 20x10 up front with a +35 offset at the moment and it doesnt even poke out and could still use more.

thanks for the replies guys, so the wheels I have now (Brembo wheels) are really sunk in on the front. I was hoping to get something that brought the wheel closer to the fender. So what would the ideal offset be for the front? As I am not sure if the wheels will clear the brakes I may need to run a small spacer... thoughts?

For a 10" wheel, around 45.

I wouldn't run a spacer without the lengthened front studs. There is a LOT of load that gets put through the front tires on a Mustang- all the weight is up there, and you can generate some pretty big loads with the size of tires that will fit on 10"+ wheels

So if ideal is 45mm then the 48mm would be pretty dang close... good to know. appreciate the note on the wheels studs, I would not have replaced them as I would not be running that large of a spacer...

I'm at +45 with a 10.5 inch wheel. It could use a little spacer, but it fits just fine the way it is. When my front wheel bearings go, I will replace with FRPP unit with longer studs so I can space some.

Just for reference. a x10.5 +45 is the same as a x10 +39.

I can't speak to the GT500 style wheel, but I have a pair of AMR 19x10s in +48mm and they clear my 14" 6-piston Baers (which are larger than the Brembos).

I just put on 19x10 Forgestar CF5s on my car a few days ago. 42mm offset with 285/35-19 all round. They fit perfect and don't run. They clear the strut and upper sway bar bolt by about 1/2".

I am not sure about 19x10's, but I just got a set of SVE 19x9.5 drifts with 285/35/19 Bridgestone RE-11's and they fit great. I replaced the factory Brembo's.

Upper end link bolt could be a problem. I have AMR 19x10 and was going to replace my clunking aftermarket links with OEM, but the bolt was contacting the tire....255/40/19

That's weird. What is the offset of those wheels?
