Please help me guys!!!!
I recently bought a 2007 4.0l mustang with the manual. I found out after buying that I had blown head gaskets and had to replace the motor. We put a 2008 4.0l motor in the car and kept the original transmission. We went to fire it up and it just cranked but no start. We are getting fuel pressure and you can smell the gas like no tomorrow so I know we have fuel. We don’t have any spark so I swapped the coil and ignition wires but no luck. Check both the crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor and both of them have the correct ohms reading. I ended up giving up after checking the grounds and swapped the pcm. I had the pcm programmed and programmed two keys to it in hopes it would start up but it didn’t.
Only codes I get are
Liftgate release circuit short to ground
Less Than Two Transmitters Programmed
High Mount Stop Lamp Circuit Failure
Key in circuit failure.
While the transmitter codes would point to a pats issue, the pats doesn’t flash on the dash and I can still crank the engine. It also would not explain why the engine wouldn’t Start before the pcm replacement. HELP ME!!!
