There is a guy local to me bought a new 5.0, dropped number 8 first week, dealership replaced the engine, and he had full bolt-on's with a tune. Engine blew again on nitrous, they replaced it again.
I think if you pull the tuner out and return it to stock, it may be worth the try to get it fixed. The tune's are suppose to be pretty well hid if I am not mistaken.
