I commend your honesty, OP.

It's truly ashame, but these things happen.

Make friends with someone who has a used car dealer's license and make a trip down to manheim, PA and throw it on the auction block. It'll sell there no questions asked quite easily!

Good luck!

Thanks Chris...

I have also purchased a brand new Boss 302 short block. I will leave the ad up here still, but I will probably fix the car now unless someone wanted to buy the whole setup.

can you post actual compression numbers?
most factory specs allow 10% variance in results. tolerance.

Any updates? Did you sell it? Ever get ford to work on it?

Any updates? Did you install the Boss motor, how does it run?

I'll just address all of these at once:

I didn't put the boss motor in yet, however I do still have it sitting in my home. The actual compression was 6% low on #8 cylinder, which is within spec according to a Ford Tech I spoke to.

I actually pulled the car out on a nice day and have been driving it once in a while and it has been driving fine. It actually has been driving normal, but I haven't been beating on it either. I am not sure really what is wrong with it, or if anything catastrophic is actually wrong with it.

So the car is in driving condition and isn't really showing any adverse symptoms lately.. and I also have the boss motor sitting here. I just don't have the time to sort it out, so I would still like to sell.

If you have a BOSS SB sitting there, why not get a power adder installed on it, paint the engine to match the car and then really have a nice SCCA car?

Regardless, free bump for you and good luck!

Thanks man... Yea, that was my initial plan, but I really don't have the time or want to put more money into it. I also could really use the money for a business venture this spring. Appreciate the input
