2011 Schedule Changes to Note:

The Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals combined event, which was formerly held at zMAX Dragway in NC, will move to Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, GA, the weekend of April 14-17, 2011. Atlanta Dragway is better suited for the All-Star Nationals where NMRA and NMCA can capitalize on Atlanta’s strong racer and fan base.

Because of a move by NHRA with its national event schedule, the Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL, will be moving a few weeks earlier to the weekend of June 23-26, 2011. Cooler June weather will translate into awesome runs as NMRA takes on NMCA for the Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing title!

California fans get ready! The NMRA and NMCA will be hosting a special West Coast Shootout at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA, the weekend of July 8-10, 2011. Like the NMRA/NMCA Texas event in November, the West Coast Shootout will be the largest gathering of muscle cars in the Golden State. This non-points, limited classes event will showcase what the NMRA and NMCA have to offer to Pacific-are drag racers.

The NMRA Ford Nationals 2-day event at Milan Dragway in Milan, MI, will be moving off the June NASCAR race to the weekend of July 22-23, 2011. This Friday and Saturday evening event brings all the cars and all the stars of NMRA drag racing to the Motor City.

I'm cool with Atlanta: Laura and I were just talking about this one. We're going to try to make it to several east coast events, trailering one car or the other. We both may go to Atco.

Don't see 2011 rules up yet, but I wish they'd allow 2-steps in Superstang. There's always modular muscle I guess...

Well, thats sucks their not coming to ZMax. I like that track and plenty to do at night..
ZMax was expensive, stupid, and loaded with assholes posing as track workers. Fuck that shit hole.

I put that in as a rules change request but I'm betting it won't get changed. Unless something serious changes in that class this will be my last year racing Super Stang.

See that race at MIR? Enter Late Model EFI class. They allow 2 steps on manual transmission cars only.

You're welcome.

Zmax can blow it out there security guard, orange pylon,$15.00 dollar ice $ 4.00 dollar water,no PA system nazi asses!

Zmax was a waste of millions run by a bunch of min wage waste of skin people. It is the perfect example of how not to build & run a drag strip.

Thanks! Glad to see MIR recognized. Many events there have started stick shift ET classes (2 steps allowed) as well.

Does NMRA members need to be members of NMCA to run with them. I want to make that MIR race.

That is discrimination in my book. LOL
I guess the class is prejudice against autos.
:LMAO:

The bad part was that we could NEVER get a straight answer as to why it was manual-only. The really bad part was when we pointed out how the wording in the rules didn't exactly preclude the use of a two step with an automatic.....they immediately changed the wording. I mean within five minutes of the post.

:wtf:

Where can I find a complete listing of all of the classes and rules for each class? I am finding nothing for the 2011 season.

I am interested as they are coming out to the west coast in July. Unfortunately its at that gawd awful CA Speedway, a glorified track in a parking lot. I would have much preferred FAMOSO in Bakersfield (McFarland).
