I was told by a good buddy that works at a Ford dealership that there are two different GT500 rear spoilers but he wasn't sure what the difference is.

He said one of them had a part number of BR3Z-6344210-BA and ran $600.
The other one had a part number of AR3Z-6344210-BB and ran $300.

What is the difference between the two to justify the $300 difference.

My brief research wasn't very fruitful.

The only thing I noticed when looking them up per Tousley Ford was the $600 one is W/O the SVT performance package and the $300 one was WITH the SVTPP package. Got me on this one. I'm sure someone here may have a good explanation as to why/how they're different.

Yeah thats all I got too.

This is what someone on another forum posted and it sound accurate but wanted to verify.

BA (w/o SVTPP) is just a basic spoiler.

BB (w SVTPP) has a Gurney flap on the rear edge of the spoiler. If you don't know what a Gurney flap is, it's a small lip that sticks basically straight up and helps with downforce.

The BB is the same spoiler that was on all 2010 GT500s, so go check one out to see if the Gurney flap is worth the extra $300. It is functional, but I don't know if you'll use it. It depends on where/how you drive.

Ah, I thought they all came with the gurney flap. Good to know. That doesn't make it worth an extra $300 to me IMHO.

Go to CJ Pony Parts and order one painted. It's the best price with perfect paint match.

They go on sale often for less than $300 shipped and painted. This includes the Gurney Flap.

Thanks for the advice and warm welcome. I can see this is not the site for me.

Hahahahaha! Obviously not.

If you posted an introduction in the New Users section, you'd have got a warm welcome.

This does not belong in our tech sections which is why he moved it.

He also pointed out the rules so you can better understand the organization of our site.

Your skin is clearly too thin to cut it here anyways.

The door is that way -------->

guess not............ maybe if you took the time to review the rules before you started to post, I know a fucking nutty idea, I'd not have to spend the time moving your inappropriately placed thread.............
