Aw man poor Shelby. Awful to see a GT500 go down. Oh geez sorry to see the Shelby GT500 like that. I was in a wreck too and it SUCKED...but luckily mine was just a GT not a Shelby GT500.

It's a GT with Cobra badges.

It should be fixable, you'll probably be paranoid about it from now on though. Nature of the beast!

Yeah I think its fixable. Honest mistake. Just swap out the badges and voila! No confusion.

Explorer daily driver ftw.

Funny you should mention that...I just closed a deal on an Explorer for beater/DD purposes tonight.

Either we're not hearing the whole story or that cop is the Douche King..either way that blows man. Keep drinking and posting, it'll be over before you know it.

No Problem

I work at the largest Ford Body shop in my area.. We can fix that damage and you'll never be able to tell it was hit...It is up to your Insurance adjuster and YOU if the car gets Fixed...Get a good Pro shop to do the work and it will be as Good as New!..

Damn man, sorry to see that happen to your ride. I know how you feel, I crashed one of my notches on the Parkway in the rain with some beat ass drag radials on it. Cop saw them and went to town with the tickets. The paint on the car wasn't even a month old. Sucks bro, but no doubt a good shop can get you back in action and you'll never be able to tell. Good luck. Try and think positive, at least here is an opportunity for some new mods.

And at least you weren't hurt or anything.

Best of luck getting her back together,
Dave

Sorry to hear, man. Be sure to claim "diminished value" to compensate for the reduced resale due to the crash history. Regardless of whether youll ever sell or not.

Damn dude. It sounds to me that the car is the last of your worries. I'm not sure on the severity of wreckless in NJ but in VA its a misdemeanor that can prevent you from getting a lot of jobs in the government. Get a lawyer dude.

My biggest fear is not the wreck, its that nasty 7 letter word "totaled".

When a car gets totaled the owner gets fucked. I hope Agas is right about YOU having a say. The 2 cars of mine that were totaled, State Farm didn't ask me if I wanted to fix them or not. Also one the guys I race with runs a body shop and you would not believe how freaking rediculous car body parts are and the labor. Ahood for our cars is $1200 and that is with out the $500 to paint it........these are body shop prices to insurance companies.

Its freakin stupid.....no wonder ins. is so damned high.......the body shops are the ones cutting a fat hog in the ass........lol.....(by the way that is a hick quote...think nothing of it :)

I just got back from work....I'm going to get a bunch of estimates today from different body shops.....i was thinking about doing it at the dealership....just because of.....I'm affraid of the insurance company adjuster....is there a possibility that they wont pay for it because it's modified, and if theu total it....how does that work....do the tkae it away right away?
