I will never recommend an LC1 ever again. If you're not an electrician, don't bother lol.

The AEM is easy to wire! Much easier it appears! Maybe the LC-1 directions were for a different model because they didn't make sense to me.

One question though, is there a 12v source besides the passenger footwell fuse box?? and if not, does anyone know off hand which port is the slot for hot while ignition on?

Got an LC1 for sale cheap btw! Like $50 for the sensor, controller, gauge, and some messed up wiring

Having use both, I will admit that the AEM is easier to use. Im not an electrician, but Im not afraid of wiring and am computer savy enough that the LC-1 is cake to me, but I understand how it can be off putting to some.

BUT

For a while now Innovate has been selling the MTX-L, which is an all in one gauge like the AEM that is just as easy to use and just as good as the LC-1. The AEM is old now, its slow as shit. There is no reason for anybody to ever buy an AEM again when the MTX-L is better in every imaginable way.

That's why I went with an LC-1. I didn't find the installation very difficult.

Very slow, too slow to tune with thats for sure.
I have 2 LC-1s that Ive been using for years for tuning all sorts of cars and they have been awesome.

I used to recommend the AEM to people who just needed a WB for monitoring, but now you might as well enjoy the best of both worlds with the MTX-L.
Plus you can daisy chain other Innovate stuff together and datalog all the information together.

I had an LC-1 when I tuned my GTO. I could never get the voltage/read out adjustment correct so I always just left it alone at 7-22 AFR. Other than that, installation and wiring was pretty straight forward.

my instructions for the lc1 must have been off then because it was telling me to ground wires that weren't there and connect others...just flat out confused me. couldn't have been the right instructions.

im glad to hear that...i may upgrade in a while to something "faster" since i guess the AEM isn't fast enough to monitor? Or is it just not fast enough for tuning?

Also, still looking for an idea on a drivers side 12v switched source i can use....i know about the passenger footwell and thats what i play on using for now, but was hoping to not have to run the wire through the center

AEM is just fine for monitoring, but I wouldnt buy one new anymore.

One time I tried to street tune a car that had an AEM installed, thought Id make it easy on myself to just use theirs so I didnt have to hook my LC-1 up, but the lag and slow refresh rate made it really difficult. Its just a fraction of a second, but youre zipping through the cells of the VE table within mere fractions of seconds.

I guess I'm the odd ball out with me having nothing but problems with my LC1. I ended up selling it because I couldnt get my laptop to communicate with it. I went with the AEM and I don't have any issues with it.

In my opinion, the LC1 has far more advanced capabilities that just about anything else out there. As a result, the instructions for setting it up can be quite daunting. If you're looking for plug and play, the LC1 is probably not for you.

I have the new AEM with Failsafe it also data logs for 3 hours with no laptop connected.
I had a AEM on my last blower car I never thought if it as Slow.
But I have never used the LC1

I finished the install in the AEM in about 2 hours. Taking out the old LC1 was a PITA because of the way they ran it. The AEM was 100x's easier to install.

I started the car, let it heat up and it works pretty good. Now I don't have anything to go off of but at WOT its saying im around 11.5-11.9 which is right around where it was when I tuned it. Is there anything specific you have to do to the Uego to calibrate it?? from the instructions, it looked like its stock calibration is for unleaded gasoline so Im assuming no...

Damn, my camera is low battery, i checked under the driver side, it's a white/yellow line wire that comes from steering column. You can also find this wire on the SJB.
I'll post pics once battery charged

It's ok. I just added a fuse to an open one. Wasn't that difficult. Did this by myself. Not much but baby steps for my wiring inabilities lol
