So I have a CS valence with fogs, Saleen grille, Boss Splitter and Roush Side splitters on the way. I have been looking at these headlights from AM to add (I dont think the CS and Saleen look right with the regular headlights and projectors are needed)

http://www.americanmuscle.com/headlight-black-proj-2010.html

Its says "not HID compatible", but in the pictures I attached it appears to be using HIDs, and I have read of people using HIDS with these.

What are your thoughts/opinions on these lights? Are there any specific HID kits you recommend?

The Halos are optional, and you dont have to hook them up, and I am not sure if i would lol.

Those are not HIDs. I remember the owner saying they are halogen bulbs behind the projectors.

Also, it should work with aftermarket HIDs, just not with the factory HIDs.

I'm thinking about doing this also.

The bulbs it comes with are not HIDs I know. Are you saying the car in the pics I attached doesnt have HIDs? They look very white with a blue tint.

Anyone know is the stock CS fogs are a crisp white?

What they mean is that if the car has factory HIDs, you cant use those housings. The factory HID bulb will not screw into that housing. They use a halogen bulb and you could buy an aftermarket hid kit for that type of bulb and use it with these housings.

hmmm im on the fence about ordering them, it would suck to have to take the bumper off again

I have those headlights in the chrome. There are two different types. One's that accept HID's and ones that don't. I have those ones that do. I ordered mine from MR Bodykit and the reason I did was because it was the only website that specified a difference.

The only reason I got these is because I completely forgot to get my car with the stock HID's. The chrome ones I have look okay but I am not super happy with them. I left the 3 LED's and the Angel eyes unplugged because I think it looks cheesy. I think that the black housing ones look a lot better than the chrome. So if I were you I would go for it. Here's a pick with mine:

Those look a lot like these/

Your corners are clear right? I didnt really want to go with clear corners. You have any closer pics?

Yea those are them. They actually come with a clear reflector. I just have what are called Stealth bulbs. They are chrome but light up orange. They are the good quality one's too. The nicest I have seen. You can buy them here http://www.stealthauto.com/Products/Stealth-Bulbs-Chrome-Concealment-Bulbs__STEALTHBULBS-BY-PART.aspx

I couldn't find any close up pics, so I will try and take some in a little bit.

The melting Shouldn't be an issue. Everything I've ever seen is that hid bulbs actually burn cooler than halogen

The bulbs may run cooler, but the intensity of the light and the UV rays it gives off will melt or deform the chrome on the reflector bowl...

Possibly something like this will happen....

Retrofit it!
