AMR 18x10's on clearance

Damn what tires are you putting on it? I bought re-760 in 295/35 and 275/40 only have $800 in tires and you can def go cheaper than that. Got four used sensors off eBay for like 80, can get newer ones like yours even cheaper, and the programming tool is maybe $30 online so you could do it for maaaaybe $1200 is you don't go with top-tier tires

I drive much too aggressively to ride on cheap tires. My price estimate was based on AM's pricing for sensors and calibration tool listed on the same page as the wheels. I'm thinking of trying the Michelin Super Sports or whatever they are called. With the tire price difference between the 18's and my stock 19's, the combo package probably wouldn't be substantially more than tires alone.

No calibration needed on your car. It automatically does it.

You have to train the sensors if you don't use the stock ones. It only retains 4 sensors at a time.

A couple of my friends, one 13 and one 14 bought totally separate wheels and tires and sensors. Never had to train anything. It did it automatically. I thought it was weird so I asked on here and I was told no training necessary. They both still have their stock wheels and can swap back and forth without any issues.

Actually no, once you add in the sensors and programmer. Then I would need tires. This would be close to a $1500 mod.

Brian, I bought ebay sensors, and no programmer. Switched back and forth, and have rotated wheels in the winter, never a tpms light.

Yeah I didmt think the newer sensors were as finicky about position on the car, or even which car for that matter, for 10+ as the 07-09 ones.

This is what I am doing. My tires only have 10K miles on them and Discount Tire will unmount, remount, balance and swap TPMS sensors for $100.

I thought AMR 18x10's cleared Brembo's, but AM was just scared to support it? I could be wrong.

They clear 4 piston brembos just fine, had the AMR 18x10 squared setup on my 07.

So these do clear the Brembos? Damn, now I have to think. I was planning on Vorshlag's D-Force, but these will get me the set for about he price of one of those.... Wasn't looking for the ulta-common style, but at that price for race wheels it's hard to pass up.

The offset is ok for both front & rear on these?

Yup, the only thing I noticed was I was getting a tiny bit of rub on the inner fender liner at full lock. I trimmed a small piece off of the liner and voila, no more rubbing.

I ran 285/40s all around as well as 275/40s all around without issue. For the price, those wheels are hard to beat.

You can get brand new 295/35/18 Nitto Invos on ebay for $200 a piece shipped. Not a bad deal with these wheels being super cheap.

The 18x10s will fit on all 4 corners even on a Brembo car. These are the wheels I race on. They will rub at full steering lock, and you have to static balance the wheels only putting the weights on the back, though.

Discount tire was able to use low profile weights on mine, they balanced it normally.

Well since all of you are gettting AMRs, I think I may be different and get either the Boss LS style wheels or the 10th anniversary wheels. Wait, I really don't need to spend $400 right now. But they are ON SALE after all...

Erm, no. If you have Brembo brakes, the clearance between the wheel barrel and the caliper is about a millimeter. Here are some low-profile wheel weights on an AMR 18x10 hitting the Brembo caliper:

Judging by your pic, my weights were placed a lot closer to the spokes. Clearance was tight, but it cleared on my car. It is what it is. I have no reason to make it up.

Brian, are your stock tires 19"? If so, you could always go with these beauties, which are also on sale this month, and just reuse you stock tires. Right at $400 with the forum discount.
