The nexus is android based.

A 4 channel amp has to be added for music and the tablet connects to it via bluetooth or I am working on a wireless digital audio setup, just working out a few little bugs and it will work good. Now if I come with something like the musicar mount then music can be played wirelessly through the factory radio via bluetooth.

I have some pics of the mold I made and the the pan that was produced from it for the past two subaru bezels I have done. The 3d printed pans should be done hopefully by this week and I will immediately get started on my bezel and post progress pics.

Hopefully will have a prototype 3d pan in hand for the nexus by the end of the day. What I am currently doing is not like the musicar mount but it is a pan that will be built into the factory bezel.

Tablet gets fully integrated to the car, can have all the gauges displayed on screen as well as nav without wifi connection and the tablet turns on and off with the ignition.

Pricing will be roughly $599 for the quick release pan with wireless charger holder molded into your bezel. If there are enough people i can maybe do a group price. I will get ipad mini pans designed soon as well but if the musicar type mount is wanted that will take time.

I have all the info on the integration, whatever you want to know you can pm me or just ask on here so everyone gets the info.

pricing is really going to depend on the 3d prints though, right now I just have a buddy doing prototypes and once the fitment is checked I will get more detailed pricing info. If 3d printed pans are not cost effective then I will just have a better mold made and do the fiberglass pans from that.

This is one of my ideas... That I would love to see

iPad regular mounted portrait and flush on the center stack. Obviously it would need to be removable, like magnets the musicar one has, but in a perfect world... This is what I envision.

I've always wanted to do a flow through center stack to console in gloss black, but the buttons on the dash don't make it look as clean as Id like. Man I've been sitting and dreaming about this for a while.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea though since it intrudes on your climate controls, and info buttons.

Pretty much like tesla center stack.

Biggest challenges would be routing a USB cord from the bottom of the dash bezel, having the mount clear the ac knobs and if using stock radio (like I am), clearing the volume button.

poor kids going to have a brown people name...

could do a full sized ipad in "landscape" orientation and retain the a/c controls or in "portrait" orientation like you mentioned with a fully removable bezel that has all the factory stuff behind it

I would think that if you know a good app developer that it wouldn't be entirely impossible to be able to control those buttons. The app wouldn't have to be particularly beautiful since you only use those buttons as a necessity, but we're talking about a show car budget display at this point anyways. Just saying, it's not impossible to retain that functionality and get rid of the buttons.

I don't want to get rid of the button or do something that crazy. Just be able to dock the iPad over the dash and remove it easy.

fully removable! Just would need to figure out how to set up a USB to plug in for power/connect for audio.
