Your the last one to find it Brian. You need to get out more often. Or at least scroll down more often. LOL

Shit, scroll down is an understatement! There's like 50 vendor forums, so it takes 5 minutes to get all the way down to the regional forums - LOL.

On a side note, my car's running like crap. Spark plugs are shot, or at least one (or more) is misfiring. They are FRPP 3V0's. Pulled them out last night, regapped them, and cleaned them up, reinstalled, and no improvement. Must be a cracked insulator or just plain spent (I was nearly ready to order up a set anyway as these are old enough to replace now). Ordered a new set, but they'll take over a week to arrive, so I'm carpooling with my wife to work this week.

I forgot to scroll down south and check this thread after my post. Did you get your new plugs yet?

Found the bad spark plug upon reinspection. One of them had a badly cracked insulator.

Still waiting on the FRPP 3V0 spark plugs I ordered (ordered 2 sets so I could have a backup set on hand), but I threw in a set of fresh factory platinum Motorcraft plugs to get the car running for now.

I also installed a set of GMS "hot street" coils (45K volts vs the factory coils' 20K volts). These coils are awesome! Car runs smoother than ever and spark blow out is non-existent even with the platinum plugs. Factory plugs with factory coils never ran well - lots of spark blow out - so this was a very worthwhile mod for my car. GMS claims 10-15 hp/tq gain and fuel economy gains, as well. Not sure about the power gain (the dyno & timeslips will have to show me that), but my fuel economy does appear to be up about 1 mpg around town so far.

It'll be even better to be back on the track. Have you had any more runs at the track lately? Still chasing those low 11's (or high 10's)?

No passes since the 11.47. I have a boost and fuel pressure gauge to install and I might put the 4.13" pulley back on and shift at 6,000. The next event is Friday the 17th.

I might be able to make it to the track on the 17th, but my daughter & mother both have birthdays that week, so it'll depend on family festivities. I'm certainly itchin' to see if the new coil on plugs are netting me any kind of an increase in trap speed. I'd love to see your car run closer to 11 flat with the peak power being moved downward at lower rpm's now.

Big change from Ft Worth. Renton is the arm pit of Western WA. If you have a rental car, there is a drag race this coming weekend at Bremerton Raceway. There will be a few of us S197 members racing and it's a NHRA divisional. This time of year it's hard to predict the weather. You always have to have a plan B.
