I hate Shell gas. I had an 88 F150 with rebuilt motor that would only run on premium and every time I filled up at my dad's Shell station it ran like shit. With my current car and tune I stick with Mobil or BP. Everywhere else I tried resulted in the car running like crap. I've gone as far as to add $20-25 worth of race gas to a bad tank of gas to raise the octane, that works much better than the bottled crap sold at Vato zone.

Well I was missing a good amount of power in 87 oct tune car felt super strong until higher rpms felt a little off so I backed out. Hope pistons ok I will check that plug in the morning. Keeping my fingers crossed hope it stays together the car is a factory freak I would miss it.

I have to take some gas out and replace with some better octane. Might call autolite and show them the pictures. Wonder if others have had same issue.

My car was doing samething on stock plugs so I changed them and car runs fine now but I replaced them with Autolite. Hopefully their plugs weren't the problem because that looks pretty bad dude.

That's how plugs look when octane booster is used. It's terrible stuff that doesn't even live up to it's name. It has nothing to do with the plug manufacturer.

That plug looks like that from detonation, the result of using a lower octane fuel. I'm betting the delivery driver put the wrong stuff in the tank. The station probably didn't even know.

Detonation on one plug? Usually its on more than one, but the color of the rest of the plugs look to hot. The HT1's might of been too hot for my tune.

Did you need the broken spark plug remover tool from Bruce? If so I dropped it off at his house today

Yeah he told me someone needed it because I borrowed it when I changed my plugs a couple weeks ago but he got shipped off before I got done using them. Well if you do need it just ask Paris Lol I know I did after 50k miles those things didn't want to budge much at all. Broke 4 out of 8 and messed up my threads in my heads so I had to buy a special tap to fix it.

Best thing to do is get pb blaster spray and let them sit for a couple hours then barely knudge them repeat spray and sit and do again until its easy to get out. I havent broke one yet (knock on wood). Also I dont tq them down too much just a quick snug.

Checked that plug this morning looks like how I put it in. No orange color and no signs of melting etc.
