How was the payment sent via Paypal?

Yes I paid via paypal with paypal buyer credit(smart connect) Which I believe is GE money bank.

Pretty sure which ever way paypal rules will be the same for GE money. -I'm fucked. He has a tracking number showing it came to my door.

I'm bitter like that...

I am from Houma also. Did he mail it from the Houma UPS? I recognize the Carwash in his Avatar Pic as it is literally 1 minute from my house at the front of the neighborhood. I will keep an eye out for him and let him know you are looking for him.

Which UPS? Gray, Louisiana, MLK BLVD, or U-Drop?

I am also good friends with the local Sheriff. I will see what he has to say about this when I get in from offshore.

He may have tracking number showing it came to your door, but if it is significantly not as described they should rule in your favor depending on what cooperation they get from the seller. If they try to contact the seller and he doesn't respond that would definitely be in your favor. Since paypal is owned by ebay they seem to rule similarly, and in my experience they tend to favor the buyer, i think because worse case scenario if they buyer was lying and the item was as described, the seller can just sell it again. That's my 2 cents anyways.

Hopefully paypal reaches out to him and he never responds which should tip things in your favor. Keep us posted on what happens.

You must have missed it in my original post...he responded to paypal today..here is what I received from paypal... "The seller has submitted an explanation describing the disagreement with
this claim. We will evaluate all available information including the
original listing, and both seller and buyer statements. A final decision
will be made on this claim per our User Agreement."

He shipped it from UDrop Shipping and Packaging in Houma.

Great idea.

I'm also kicking around the idea of trying to sell what I got for like $1900-$2000 that way someone could get it and all the rest of the stuff from stage three and be in a complete kit for around $3k. That would be me taking a $500 hit just to move on with my life.

Dont sell anything until the claim is resolved. You may get your money back, and have to send his crap back

I PM'd him today, if he fails to respond by mid-day tomorrow he'll be wearing a new color, not much else we can do as staff.

Joshua L. Effler a.k.a. (Joshualee7788) Fucked me.

I bought his M90...http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83439&highlight=M90

Long story short..Kit(if you can call it that) arrived missing every single piece of hardware(nuts/bolts/brackets/wiring harnesses) missing fuel rails.

Heat Exchanger damaged beyond repair, Waterpump damaged beyond repair. The Supercharger unit itself has gouges all the way down to the metal. The pulley looks like a saw blade, its so damaged. The Air filter included is damaged.

Stage3motorsports quoted me $850 just for the missing hardware and fuel rails. Not including the waterpump and H/E.

I contacted Joshua immediately after opening the boxes and inventorying the garbage. His response was..."Didn't you receive the 3rd box?" Very convenient considering the day he shipped it he told me there was 2 boxes and gave me only 2 tracking numbers...

Joshua Effler has ignored my pm's/Emails/Voicemails since 5/16...I have his ph # and his address. He hasn't been to busy to avoid Paypal and UPS both of which have been able to speak with him TODAY as he lodged a disagreement with my paypal claim.

I've filed a dispute with paypal and paypal buyer credit. I've also filed a dispute with UPS.

First time in 14years of buying and selling mustang parts that I have ever been FUCKED. I guess I've joined the club.

Checking flights to Livingston LA... I'm not going to go away.

Not sure if anything has been tried locally yet but I live out in the Livingston/Denham area, just an FYI. Not to mention a few others out here. Feel free to PM me sir.

Sorry to hear about this one man.... a lot of people were interested in that kit too. I would hear PayPal out and see what happens. I know I've been in a position before where some guy sold me an iPhone 3GS and sent an empty box and there was confirmation. Did you make sure you documented all the stuff that was missing along with pictures and sent that to PayPal?

They are usually good at resolving stuff, but I really hope that nothing goes negative. This guy needs to own up to this crap.

Is he on other forums?

I had to take pictures of all the damage and packaging and email it to UPS...It looks like he will be getting some kind of reimbursement from them. So essentially he's getting paid twice for this stuff.

Paypal has not asked for the pictures or tracking numbers yet.

Wait, was this the kit that went up for sale about 2 weeks ago?

EDIT: That thread is the reason I joined this forum. I'm glad I didn't buy it. Hope you can find someone local to kick his ass.

Same thing happened to me months ago with a KB. I got my money back from PayPal. You should too as long as they can still get it back from him. You will have to pay return shipping and supply PayPal with the return tracking number. ALWAYS buy stuff like this with a credit card if you can. You can dispute it with them if paypal denies you and they will reverse the payment to PayPal and then it's up to PayPal to get the money back. Better them than you.

Oh and PayPal had me take it to a third party to have them confirm that it was not useable and beyond repair. I just found someone by me who owns a shop that builds cars and had him do it.

I am waiting for paypal to tell me to send it back. The only return address I have is that of a UPS store from where he shipped it from. I found a receipt in the box that has an address on it for Joshua Effler but I have no confirmation that is where he lives currently.
