Ive had several sellers ask me to gift the money. If they had a good rep I did. Ive also asked a few people to gift money to me if it was an expesive item. They did and they got what they paid for. I think if you have a good trader feedback its ok. I just bought a car off here and had to have it shipped. That was scary for me and the seller because both of us were worried that we would get screwed. I think if its an expensive item then it should be sent with insurance but what do you do if it shows up as delivered and it never was. Generally insurance wont cover that. People steal things all the time off peoples porches. I know I have people that buy Harley parts and spend 2 or 3k dollars and specifically ask for it to be sent without a signature required because they will be at work when its delivered. Whos at fault if it gets stolen?

I feel like asking the buyer to "gift" money through PayPal would be the same as the buyer asking the seller to send the item in good faith and I'll pay you when it arrives is what you say it is.

This is a fantastic response! From now on when a seller asks me to gift the money, I'll say "Absolutely, I'll gift it as soon as the package arrives. If you want the money up front then I'm going to retain my Paypal rights and protections as a buyer."

I never ask people to cover PP charges or gift money. In fact I also include shipping charges when I sell stuff. If you don't want to pay the price I want for something I'm not going to trick you into thinking it is cheaper, I'll just keep the item and use it as a paper weight on my shelf till someone wants it. I'm not going to gift anyone I don't know money anymore and while I might pay the additional PP charges if I really want sometime, I have to say it really turns me off when people ask for it and I have not bought more then a few items in the for sale section because of this and just gone with a new item instead.

Excellent ^^^^

Also I look at it as a (Business) transaction.

By doing so no one gets (Screwed) !!!

UPDATE!

Connor PM'd me and said the box was scanned again today at my local PO. Unfortunately I'm in NH on vacation right now. I called the PO and spoke to friendly Fernando and he found the package! Says it has no to/from name or address on there at all - WTF?

Fernando said my relative in town can pick it up with a copy of the emails between Connor and I where he gave the tracking #. He's going in about an hour...fingers crossed

My sister n' law was able to pick up the package, looks like it it was opened and re-sealed. Box says "James Dyer" on the front with a partial address of 87? My first name is James, but my last name is Curnutt plus house address is not 87. Anyway, there was probably more info on the box at some point since it made it to my town. I'm going to hold off on any itrader feedback until I get back from vacation on Sunday and check out the parts. I kind of feel that if I leave the deserved neutral or negative feedback, the seller will just do the same to me out of spite.

The Box I used was from a "Dyer". I am referring to his name. It was a box I found in my house to send the package. However went I sent it I put the address of yours over it and I taped over it. It was a box that I used when I purchased something long ago and this was the only one to fit the packages however I guess like you said the label must of came off or something in the interum of sorting and mailing

However I have helped JC locate the Package and have checked the USPS Tracking Label and today it was tried for a second delivery to his home address. I provided him the info needed and also helped him file a report as well in the intreum. In conclusion I didnt add a return adress (My fault) however I did stick with him and provided what he needed when he asked to find the package and now the package has been picked up and now in the hands of the seller and has been picked up and its all well and good, like JC said fingers crossed.

In response to this as well, I just wanted to make clear that I did help him sort this out and follow up with him and USPS. However if anyone continues to buy from me after this incident I will take a picture of the package at the USPS PO with your address and my address included on the package and will include tracking as well and send it to you in a confirmation of shipped PM with your Tracking # provided

I will own up that this was partially my mistake as well and that I was at fault for some of it. However I did stick with him and I gave him the info he needed when he requested it, not the most professional but I wasnt forgetting about him and being totally discourteous

Regards

^ I did get it mixed up but I didnt just leave what was there I put a label on top of the correction that I did and taped over it. I assume it must of come off since its not there. However I wish I took a picture before I shipped the box as well as thats not how I also taped it up. I did use clear tape I attest to that however I didnt do such a shotty job on not even closing the package fully I could at least do that. I dont know what went down here to be honest. I am glad it was somewhat all resolved and he kept on it and I kept on it and checked the tracking number daily to see any movement. However I did have a label on there as it wouldnt of gotten to Merrick without it obviously and I wish they didnt either open it and retape it as it makes my boxing look like crap when I actaully took time to wrap it. But anyways I am glad that it is almost all resolved and everything is coming to a close now and me and him are happy and I hope to future buyers from me, if there are any, I will take a picture of the package at the USPS PO with your address and my address included on the package and will include tracking as well and send it to you in a confirmation of shipped PM with your Tracking # provided

Regards
