I havent. My friend says that these cars dont feel as fast as the older ones even though you are actually going faster. The previous owner told me he clicked off a 12.49 before I had added the gears and meth kit on it. I really dont believe that but thats what he said. The car had 3.55 in it to begin with I didnt notice much of a change going to the 4.10

If you wanna know whether it's a 12 second car, take it to the track. These cars don't feel anything like a fox body.

The S197 platform is very refined compared to the older Fox-body platform.

I've ridden in a few 550+ RWHP S197's, and they didn't feel anywhere as fast as my 03 Cobra that made 462 RWHP .Not saying they weren't fast, just saying that the chassis, suspension, etc. is all different.

I would take the car to the track, make some solid passes, datalog if you can, and see what happens. If your car is running poorly, as least you will have the datalog info, and you can go back to your tuner.

Granted, the car should feel quick, however, it's not going to feel insane, especially in hotter weather. Heat soak is a HP killer. Keep that in mind.

Cars just have a different feel for different people. My buddy says the S197's are not impressive to him. He thinks his 255hp 06 BMW feels faster. Yet, I think his BMW is slow as shit.

Adjusting the Tune can vastly affect the drivalbility of the car. As many reputable tuners on here have stated countless times, there is a big difference from tuning for an all out # on a dyno and tuning with drivability in mind.

Case and point, my previous Dyno tune made #'s that were in line with the modifications I have but the acceleration was very linear and throttle response was average. I trapped 107 with that tune. I went with a BBR email tune after that just to try it and the drivability was COMPLETELY different. Throtle response was off the wall and the car felt like it was pulling to the moon. Guess what I trapped?........107 with the new tune.

The tune may have alot to do with it.

Arent the s197's considerably heavier than the fox bodies as well.??A 400 hp fox and a 400 hp s197 would feel totally different I would think.

If you are driving in hot weather and going into boost for a sustained period of time, then its pulling timing cuz Im sure the IAT's are climbing even with the meth.. Are you sure the meth is flowing ok? Do you have some sort of warning to let you know its spraying? Just because your car made xxx power on the dyno, doesnt mean it will sustain that power on the street of track once your in boost for a bit..

Thats the right graph I dont know if its lean or not. The meth is working I have a light that comes on when it sprays. Kicks in at 2.5lbs of boost.

What are you talking about? How is 11.6:1 AFR too lean? Its too rich if anything.

You're out of your mind. 11.6 is not anywhere "too rich" for a boosted car. It is starting to approach the lean zone.

In general, most folks shoot for 11.0 as the standard target "safe" AFR for boosted stuff. Folks looking for maximum power sometimes tune to 11.5.

How about you just get it to the track and find out if it really does 12seconds. All this "it doesnt feel like a 12sec car, it doesnt feel fast" is not doing you any justice.
