Hello I have a Magnacharger with a 2.90 inch pulley. i am going with gears just dont know if I should go with 3.73's or 4.10's.. I'll be running ET Streets on my stock rims...Any advice would be appreciated.. Also went with PTC convertor 3200-3400 and a Shaftmasters DS and a Tuneable Inductions cai for the maggie.

Thanks

4.10s with a 28" tire or 3.73 with a 26".

Assuming for 1/4 mile.

Well the Magnacharger runs out a gas at higher rpm's, 5500 and it's about maxed out. I would go with the 3.73's for the best all around gear.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions.. I knew the roots makes decent power down low, but falls off once you get into the rpm's...

If I go with the 4.10's , do you still suggest a 26 inch tall tire? Thanks..

Under 450 rwhp I would say yes, for me the 4:10s were a blast till 500 rw with the 26" tire . After that it was a spin fest . I am a centri car though.

What gears???

I run a 2005 Mustang GT w/ automatic tranny and a Saleen Supercharger making 450RWHP...

I run a 3.73 because I get great low end and good mid range torque...

Power does not drop off at 5,000 RPMs...

I have a wheel and tire combination that measures 27.5"...

Let your supercharger do the work!!!

Just my opinion... Dave

I have a Saleen also and it does not drop off at 5000 either. Pulls well to 6500 actually.

It could just be that your Brenspeed "custom twin screw cams" could have something to do with the fact that you do not have a power drop off over 5,000 RPMs...

Streetyme is referring to ROOTS (like his Magnacharger) dropping off at high RPM not Twin Screws like the Saleen.
