I would like more information on the source and would like to know if they have any 295/35-18s. I'm local and would come and get them.

I might have to go the RE-11 route. I really don't want to :/.
Might not be a bad choice. A few Autox guys run them on their Porsches and swear by them.
Vorshlag posted up some timed track results of several tires and I have searched for it, but can't find it. The RE-11 was one of them, so was the Rival and I *think* the direzza star spec's replacement tire also. The RE-11 was one of the slowest. I'm not going to say I find that hard to believe, but I will say that if the Rival is 2 seconds faster than the RE-11 then that is incredible. Because I'm moving pretty good on them and I don't have anyone running in front of me that isn't about to get passed (solo group/non-competitive). 2 second difference is an absurd advantage. Maybe because I don't do autocross. Maybe it's the one particular track I go to. Just as certain tracks are brake intensive, or some are "faster", I'm sure it all plays on the time differences of these tires. You can have a *test* that favors a tire. And no, I'm not trying to make RE-11 sound like it didn't have a fair test. I just understand what "2 seconds" is and the implications. Makes me REAALLLY want some Rivals or the new Dunlop tire.
Problem with star specs is there aren't any sizes meant for a 18x10. The regular Direzza II has a few sizes, not 295/35-18 (or 275/40-18), but a few 18" sizes.
Very true. There are a lot of factors. Weight is one of them. These PCars are 2750-3000 lbs compared to our cars which are ~750lbs heavier.
Driving style can also favor a tire.
