Just looked at a new Boss 302 as it was unloaded. Great looking car. I was really considering purchase until I looked at the sticker and it has the Chinese made MT 82. How can Ford expect this to hold up on a Boss with the added Horsepower when it is destructing all over in the GT.

No way I will buy one as much as I would like to have one with this junk in it.

A pity such a great car and great heritage. Hopefully Ford will get another transmission in one soon.

The Chevy dealers know about this and are using it to sell even more Camaros.

i highly doubt that, i rather deal with a clunky transmission vs a shity all around car, with shity interior, shity view from the windows, shit sheet metal ect you get the point.

x2! If chevy has to use that as a Camaro "selling feature", thats pretty lame on their part.

Is that why they paint camaro's with fisher price my first clear coat?
Or how about throwing a tranny in rated only 10lbs over the engines torque then wondering why the trannies are breaking, or how about those awesome brakes weights, or that lolaunch control feature that snaps axles? or that the car forgets what gas it's drinking and where it's windows are in it's doors? How's about all them camaro lemons?

GO GM lol

I fully agree, especially on the windows thing. I've sat in a few before and the view really was terrible.

My MT82 hasn't destructed yet.

+1. While I'm not thrilled about anything in my '11 GT being built in China, my transmission has been flawless so far. I'm not exactly easy on my cars, so I'm impressed that I've had no trouble with my MT82.

The Tremec 3650 in my '03 Mach 1 was rebuilt twice under warranty in the short 30K miles that I owned it, FWIW.

My MT82 shifts like butter! December 2010 build by the way.

How many miles do you have now? I have 7200 miles with no problems other than the cold hard 1/2 shift. I have a 6/2010 build date. The only thing that I worry about is the pressure plate bolts backing out. I wonder what the magic mileage number is to where we would no longer have to worry about this issue?
