Brenspeed builds "Shaker Shelby" for customer...
Buying a car can certainly be a lot of work and also a lot of fun. This particular customer of ours purchased this beautiful 2007 Shelby GT almost 6 months ago and just finally took delivery of the car today. The customer had the car shipped directly to us for some serious modifications, before he would even take delivery of the car. He wanted the car to be the ultimate street machine and still have like OEM drivability and handle like it's on rails. He is also a huge fan of the 70 Mach 1s with their Shaker type scoop, so he wanted to incorporate the two, along with enough power to light the tires if he wanted to!

Up first in line was to add some more power via a Saleen Supershaker supercharger with a 3.0 upper pulley and a 10% overdrive Innovators West crank pulley. Intake temps are definitely going to climb rather quickly with 14-15psi, so the customer opted to have us install an AFCO Dual Fan Heat Exchanger and some Royal Purple Ice. The larger heat exchanger and dual fans really help keep the fluid cool before it takes it to the intercooler in the supercharger, allowing for much cooler intake temps and a lot more consistent power.

The customer wanted more power (who doesn't), so he opted for us to build his engine into one of our B302 short blocks. We used out B302 rotating assembly and sent the block out for machining. After the machining was done our in house engine builder Kent Nine went to work. The customer wanted to use the stock cylinder heads, but they were upgraded with Comp Valve Springs and Comp Retainers, and a set of Comp VSR Stg 2 camshafts (127350) for an additional 30rwhp. Once the engine was put together and in the car the customer knew that everything else was needing some upgrading in order to handle the additional power. Cradling this animal to the frame we used a BMR K member and matching BMR Lightweight Tubular A-Arms to help lighten up the front end. Next in line was the transmission, which was upgraded to a TR6060 setup with an Exedy MACH 600 Clutch and one of their matching Exedy Steel flywheels. The customer opted for the GT500 KR Shifter as well.

Getting power from the transmission to the rear end the customer used a Carbon Fiber driveshaft. We then build then rear end using a Detroit Locker, Moser Axles, and a set of FRPP 4.10 gears. We offer these parts as a package in our Brenspeed 8.8 Rear end Pkg. A Watts Link helps put the power to the ground as well as a set of Shelby 18" Wheels and Nitto Invo Tires. Also helping hold the power to the ground and keeping control of the car is the factory installed FRPP Handling Package, which comes standard on the 2007-08 Shelby GTs. The kit features new shocks, struts, lowering springs, and front and rear sway bars to give you the ultimate increase in handling. After all of the parts were installed on the car, the car headed over to the dyno where the car made an impressive 535rwhp in 100 degree heat, so keep an eye out for this beast if you live anywhere near Houston, TX.

and a set of Comp SPR Stg 2 camshafts (127350)

Nice build, but you got something wrong there. 127350 would be the blower grind VSR stage 2 cams. SPR stage 2 are 127500 and 127550, N/A and blower grind respectively.
