Does anyone know where I can find deep dish 18X10 Bullitt wheels in the original color for my 2008 Bullitt?

I ordered the ones from American Muscle, but did not see the fine print where they said it would not match the original wheels. You have to hit the "Read More" tab to pull that up.

I love the original, and really don't want to go to black.

Thanks

G5 Alloy grey, of which there are 3 variants. I paid $80 for a spray bomb at the local paint shop, which did not even come close to matching the rims.

Chad,

You (Cannot) buy them aftermarket.

you might try going over on the all Bullitt Mustang INTERNET Site and asking those members.
A lot of them have changed out their factory wheels to aftermarket so you might find a Ford Factory set for sale.

I'm planning on having a pair of these shipped to Eric Vaughn (summit ships for free,) he'll add 1.5 inches on and ship them to me on a yak or slow boat or however USPS sends stuff to Canada.

Then paint my best two 8.5" wheels and these here all the same "alloy grey" color. Bam, like new bullitt wheels in sensible sizes for... $1500 CDN?

Terry,

I have meant to go check out the Bullitt forum, but that thing is slow, nobody hardly ever posts on it.

Thanks for everyone's help, really looks like I may just have to stick with my original wheels.

Your right the IMBOC site is now and has been for sometime a boring INTERNET site.

And it is not any better since it was purchased by the Canadian corporation.

Let's be fair, Terry. We're talking about a specific, limited edition Mustang that's been out of production since '09, and is only different really because of its wheels, suspension package & color from a base S197 GT. Only so much to say, especially w/200 other Stang sites out there. I seem to recall you use to be quite the prolific poster on imboc. There use to be a heck of a lot of nice folks on that site to chat with.

Lee,

There are still some of older guys that do post on IMBOC still but not many.
Yes, I was and still am I think the main poster on the 08/09 sections of that site.
It's not that I don't like the site any longer it as you say only so many things that can be discussed.

S-197 is a different site now as well.
In reality it has actually for the most part changed over to the 5.0 Coyote Mustangs.
It's just the way it goes as time passes now that the S-197 was back in I think 2010.
And here we are in August of 2016 so 6-yrs. past the last of the S-197 Mustangs.

Later man,
Terry

2005-2014 all S197s

I was thinking once Ford changed over to the newer 5.0 Coyote engine that was the new Model change.
So actually it was just a newer engine not a new Mustang Model.

Interesting then that the 2015 that I think goes by S550 is the next real Model change for the Mustang.

I can't believe the amount of advertisers on this site given the traffic! I think we're really lucky to have guys like "DOB" still around who know a lot about the 4.6 cars and take the time to make websites or posts about vital tech. I used to spend a lot of time on "fnsweet" and so far as I know all of the knowledge that was once searchable on that site is gone forever. This is really what we need to avoid.
