Hope you guys paid with a credit card because if he doesn't have funds in his PayPal account, it won't matter if they side with you...there's no money to get. You should file the dispute with the credit card company. Been down this road before.

Maybe things have changed, but I can't see PayPal giving you money out of their pocket due to some fucktard screwing someone. Shit, they'd be paying out everyday.

Mmmm, I may have missed that fine print, but not sure if they're authorized to pull money out of your bank account without prior authorization. That's why there's a PayPal account to keep money in. That account they can touch. I could be wrong...

If there is money in the bank account tied to the Paypal account they can grab it.

PayPal now goes after sellers through collections if a claim is awarded to a recipient. They request payment from the seller at first of course. I filled one on some cat from another forum and I got my money back. It wasn't a big amount, but ain't no one gonna cheat me out of my bread.

Could be. I got curious and looked but could not find anything definitive in the Paypal agreement. About 4 years ago I paid around $300 for some rotors which I never received. PayPal sided with me, but since the asshole's (Alan Soto) Paypal account had a zero balance, I did not get a refund.

Well I shipped some tail lights for a fox body probably 10 years ago with insurance and when they arrived it looked like the box was ran over by a forklift lol. Destroyed the tail lights. Buyer was all good we were going through insurance claim. Well after they got paid they filed a dispute with paypal after that and paypal instantly pulled the funds from my bank account and held the till I could prove otherwise. When you sign up with paypal you have to link an account with paypal if you have funds or not they will pull money from your account if its not there Its just like writing a bad check you get stuck with the fees from you bank I believe.

I started eBayin' back in 98' and got fuct on some 99' PBRs calipers when I was doing a 5 lug conversion on my 91' Fox. A lot of friends and family cautioned me on buying online but I took it as a rare event and continued on to Amazon, Craigslist, and 6 or 7 different Mustang forums. I can say I've been fortunate to never have been burned again.

I sincerely hope that this guy didn't take your money and it all works out in the end.

Not sure why thats really relevant. The guy poast these things for sale in January and had been answering and receiving messages until he was paid. Then he told everyone he was going to ship and dropped off the face of the earth. Ive sent him emails private messages and even messaged through facebook Im sure a cell number would do nothing for the situation He wont respond to a paypal dispute either. Sounds like a total crook to me
