For some background, Chris Cobetto is the NASA Mid-Atlantic director and is a 3x Spec-E30 National champ. He made the switch to AI this year and gave Dean Martin (Rehagen) a run for his money at Nationals.

It's 41 minutes, but a good watch. Of course, I wish there were more specifics given in the setup...

P.S. I think I saw Steve Poe's car in there once or twice.

I agree, great video. They did great work in a short amount of time. Great team effort and obviously, Chris Cobetto is a very talented driver.

Awesome video, my dream is to just buy a car, drop it off and have a race car come out.

EDIT: Oh, and to win a National Championship

Great video, I wish they had detailed some of the solutions to the problems they encountered, however.

Hi Dean, we met earlier this year when I visited your shop with Shaun when the Formula SAE kids were in-town. I don't have any specific questions right now but when I start gutting my car for race prep I may have to call you.

Let me know if you need my cell #....

BTW: Ford Racing is coming out with a new BBS wheel specifically designed for the base Boss 302 and Boss 302S. They are 18x9.5. They are designed for the 1/2" studs and accept a standard lugnut. They also do not require any spacers. The info on Ford Racing's site is incorrect. I've been working with the engineers and the guys at BBS to make sure the wheels are to the proper spec. They are going to be bad ass and should be right around 20# per wheel. They are $2,400 /set through Rehagen if you pre-order. They are actually more expensive than the 10" wheel and the price is going to go up when they arrive in January...

I am curious what was causing the drop in power after running the car for 30+mins or did they say and I just missed it.

I don't think they got into it in the video, but on the NASA forums there was some talk about it being oil temperature related. Sounds like they weren't running the oil cooler that the Boss comes with, leading to too high oil temps, leading to the computer shutting things down. Not sure if this is the final conclusion, but it makes sense.

I was thinking something heat related, hopefully they get it figured out before next season.

If those are the black ones you guys posted on your facebook page, they are gorgeous. They will be on the list when I need a second set of track wheels.

I will be making an additional video about our past season going into this upcoming season when time permits. Covering a few more areas of the car build that wasn't covered in this video (it was more focused on the "people aspect") and the testing that we had to do non-stop to stay competitive.

I'm not aware of this thread, but I can tell you that isn't oil temperature related. Not sure where that came from. We had an oil cooler on the car since the very first race and have never seen high oil temps.

I'm new to this site, and I've got a lot of catching up to do. We'll be sponsoring a forum on here very soon so look for more information regarding PAS Racing to be covered in depth in our very own forum.

I know I said it several times in person at Ohio, but yes...BIG thanks to Dean Martin for all the help this past season when it came to making a racecar out of a street car.
