How do you do that to such an awesome car? Reminds me of the Terminator that was on ebay a month ago or so that was in the same condition...Still completely wrapped! I wouldnt have the will power to let it just sit there!

I mean shit starts to dry rot after a few years right? I mean damn! Just think, all that sticky shit all over your car for 10 years. Imagine having to try to clean that off. Goo Gone is your friend!

LOL! I know I couldn't, or wouldn't, do that. Now if we were talking about limited run Ferrari's or Lamborghini's, I could see it. Cause then I'd be able to afford to buy a second one for racing!

I've known people with alot of dough buy two of the same car, drive one and store the other, must be nice to have that kind of change.

That's my favorite Mustang year/model ever. I understand the idea, especially with such limited production as that car but it makes me sick to see it just sitting there. I would give anything to own or at least be able to drive a Cobra R.

Tell me about it. My dad had one and drove it for almost 5 years and the dealership called and wanted it back, they gave him a truck that was worth more then he paid for the car.

That's what I thought too, but the price increase isn't really insane on this one. I believe they were selling for just under 60k when they came out, and this dude has a "Buy it Now" of $70k :wtf1:

I would have hung onto it longer and made a better profit than 10gs

thats a huge gamble tho, buying a car and not driving it, and hoping its worth something a long time from now. I mean i guess if you have the money go ahead, but it just seems like a huuuuuuuuge gamble. Cars are meant to be driven?

with some cars it is... but i wouldnt expect a 91 z28 with a 305 to gain any value being stored... an turbo trans am on the other hand i would have. a standard 87-93 LX 5.0 hatch back i wouldnt but a 93 cobra R i would...

would have to have the cash and be willing to take a risk on a low production number car...

but its real hit or miss. Just because they made a low amount of numbers, doesnt mean they are going to be worth anything 30 years from now. But hey, its not my money being spent, if someone has the disposable income, well, good luck to them, hope it works out.

Doing that is like having the number to a super hot chick that you are guaranteed to score with and never calling her.

Sorry, if I bought it, I am driving it.

Not to mention that you must be a very poor investor if you can only net 10k on a 10 year investment of ANY kind when having to shell out 60k for the principal.

Hell even on mixed portfolio holding at low to mid risk at an average 12%/year return you could have made a better investment in the stock market...

As long as there are people who do this, there will always be a supply of low mileage, mint condition cars, available to those who have the coin to purchase them.
