Converter Install Questions

Going to be doing a converter install in the next couple of weeks and I have a couple of questions.

Will I need to remove my ARH longtubes to get the transmission out?
Also I want to change the transmission fluid at the same time. With the 6R80 not having a drain plug how will I get all the old fluid out? Just drop the transmission pan?

I've left my arh headers on when changing the trans, no problem.
Drop the pan and out comes the juice!
