Convertible top not working

I just purchased my first Mustang, a 2011 V6, and picked it up with the top down. When I got home the top was working just fine as I put the top up and secured the latches. However, since the next day after I had a MD state inspection, nothing happens when I press the switch to put the top down. No motor noise or any sound at all. I replaced the fuse for the convertible top motor and that did not fix the problem. Any ideas what to check next? I am guessing that the inspector may have pressed the switch without unlatching the top.

If you don't hear any noise, the issue could also be the faulty button itself. This happened to me... it worked often but sometimes failed. It's worth trying to replace it, as the part costs just a few bucks online and takes only a couple of minutes to swap.

Did the switch fix the problem? I know there are some relays in the trunk that might have been the problem too. Would be curious to see what your fix was.
