anyone ever plasti-dip the rear decklid for a black out panel? my girlfriend has the magnetic one and its starting to not fit so well, and i plasti-dipped the emblems today and the look awesome on legend lime. thinking of doing the decklid panel now?

It can be done. You will just have to cut along the tape to get a straight line for the matte black look. It can be done...just take your time.

^^^^^^ Those wheels look badass!!! I can not wait to do my fan blades.
Thanks! And it's actually pretty fun to do and it's hard not to get carried away and start spraying everything on your car lol. Make sure and take your time and spray as evenly as possible!

Any tips on blacking out the pony? It seems like it could be more of a pain

Just tape around it and the grill. Should be fine. Hit it with a light coat ( like smoking the chrome) give t 5 minutes and put a normal coat on it. Where each coat looks wet. Give 30 minutes drying time between coats and do about 3-4 coats.

Just have to take the stock one off, and throw this in its place!

here's my faux gas cap along with my tinted tails that I did today. excuse the filthy car I haven't had a chance to wash it in a week or so. It's not the best picture but it took forever to tint the tails and I'm tired now lol

How many cans and coats did you need to do a full set of wheels?

Three cans will do it, about 3-4 coats. When the can gets down to the 10% mark start with a new can. It will start to sputter and the coating isnt that great when the car is spitting chucks of plastic..lol
