Does any one on here have a really dressed up modular engine they want to show off?

I am thinking of powder coating my valve covers and putting some other dress up stuff on my engine, just want to get some ideas from you guys.

you just buy the SS kit in the correct diameter hose and cut it to the correct size. Really not that big of a deal

I never get tired of seeing this pic, or any pics of your engine bay bro...

Mark (chevykiller) has had some nice looking engine bays, but yours is hands down the absolute sickest I have seen. Period.

Go to Pep Boys and buy the Spectre Hose Kits. They come in a bunch of different hose sizes. You need 3/8, 5/16 and 5/8.

These are the part numbers - get 2 of part#2260, 2 of #29490, 1 of #29390 and 1 of #39690

Then just pull off a factory hose, measure out the spectre hose and cut it down to size. I did a couple of mine at a friends house and we cut them with a die grinder. I did the rest at home and just used a hack saw to cut them down. Wrap some elctric tape around the end your cutting, this will help keep the braiding from fraying too much. Then just use the caps provided, slip on and tighten down. Done!

I've always liked to carry a 'theme' through my dressup stuff, and you have pulled that off very well. Nicely done!

The black REALLY makes that pop - but you knew that.

How do you switch to those SS braided lines? I really love that look... What all is involved?

Spectre also makes a kit to use a sleeve over your existing hoses, which is what I have on mine. They have the same parts for the radiator hoses, although they start to get a bit pricey. You need the 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" fittings for those. You can cut the braid sleeve with a pair of scissors and the ends have a hose clamp in them. I got all mine at Summit.

A note of caution if you use these - be very careful what you use to clean your engine! I had a number of fittings lose the anodizing after hitting them with cleaners.

I ruined my intake manifold cover that way. Took the silver right off. Now I have to get it powdercoated. Cheap piece of shit...
