driver side window motor

my 06 gt convertible window motor is bad. i cant find a video how to change it. do i have to take the glass and regulator out. thanks

Thanks for the reply but thats not a 06 gt. So i cant just chsnge the motor?

Does the window motor work at all? I think you have to roll it all the way up before you start. I am fairly certain that the glass does not need to be removed. But it will fall as soon as the motor is disconnected. I usually use tape to keep it from falling.

the motor makes noise but window wont go up. it sarts going up then goes down

That's the regulator.

How do i know if the motor is good

The motor is running. Might be good. A fastener has possibly loosened. Have you taken the door panel off?

yes nothing looks loose i pulled on the window while holding the up switch. i got hit halfway up. motor feels hot

It turned out to be the regulator
