That has been my only concern about going e85 but after reading and seeing that tester looks like I could control it. Can some one tell me tho, if say E93 like the guy in that thread had will go lean will E75 make the car run rich? I have always wondered that since the less ethanol the less octane right?
I think that guy is a little bit 'Chicken Little' with his "dangerously lean" comment.
Nick - if u r tuned on a true 85% blend en yes it will run a bit rich if u r down to 70%. It's nothing to be worried about. I asked this of Lund when he was revising my tune.
Yeah IDK if I would worry that much for two reasons. If you aren't on the ragged edge of your tune, shouldn't be a big deal. 2, IDK that if being more ethanol than gas would lean it enough to over come the added octane to cause problems.
@Falcon
You trolling, or genuinely interested? I know you're pretty opinionated about ethanol from the E85 thread I started a while back.
In all seriousness, I used to check mine all the time using the graduated cylinder method, but I stopped recently due to the blend never changing out here. I only use one station (Western Convenience) and they're always 85% ethanol... never even switching to the 70% blend in the winter.
I have two AEM widebands and watch them closely all the time. I have a pretty conservative tune as well.
