Fixing rock chips

I got a couple of rock chips so I ordered some touch up paint, no big deal but now after filling the tiny holes with the touch up paint I got paint blobs! how do I get rid of the blobs? I tried some scratch remover stuff on it but it's not working. Any tips?

Here's what I do. I plan to take pictures and do a step by step in the diy section if I eve get time. Take a small brush and dab in some light grey sealer. This will help your color cover and match better. Then take your base color and dab ona few light coats. Let this dry and then wet sand with 1500-2500 grit paper. You will have a few small spots of sealer showing thru the base after this. This is where I airbrush my color over the chip, and then clearcoat it. After this I wet sand the clearcoat down with 2500 grit and buff out all the scratches. Since most dont have an airbrush yo could use the paint brush to apply the base color and clear. Then wet sand it and buff. It doesnt make the chips perfect, But makes them waaaay less noticable.

Or just put paint on the chip, a couple of light coats with a small brush.

Sand it down with 2K girt

Polish it with Ultimate Compound to get the sanding marks out

Polish with a finishing polish and sealant and/or wax the area

Call it a day

Thanks fellas, I like the airbrush idea! and a diy! never thought of using an airbrush to touch up chips. I have 2 airbrushes which I use for my model cars. I'll try wet sanding the blobs and see how it goes.

Very good point. When doing this I never use a block. Too hard to keep the sanding area minimized.

Check out Dr. color chip they have a pretty good system. I've used the lanka before and it never really blended in right with my screaming yellow! If your interested in it let me know I purchased their kit and never had a chance to try it out because i traded in my 06 Screaming yellow for a 2011 Kona Blue
