Here's what I do. I plan to take pictures and do a step by step in the diy section if I eve get time. Take a small brush and dab in some light grey sealer. This will help your color cover and match better. Then take your base color and dab ona few light coats. Let this dry and then wet sand with 1500-2500 grit paper. You will have a few small spots of sealer showing thru the base after this. This is where I airbrush my color over the chip, and then clearcoat it. After this I wet sand the clearcoat down with 2500 grit and buff out all the scratches. Since most dont have an airbrush yo could use the paint brush to apply the base color and clear. Then wet sand it and buff. It doesnt make the chips perfect, But makes them waaaay less noticable.
