The wheels can be found for 340 a piece in a lot of other places but if you are looking for a package with tires their price is pretty comparable.how much is our forum discount with am?

Trouble is they don't seem to offer much in the way selection. If they offered them in a sizes and offsets that would allow me to run that 335/30-18 and 275/35-18 set up then maybe I would call them up. I want to run a combo that is on the edge.

Why would they not offer some more agressive set ups like the 315/35-20 set up? With the 59 offset (53 is right on the edge) there wouldn't be rubbing issues if they would sell the adjustable pan hard bar with it.

Also IMO there should be some choices as to side wall size, maybe a guy is dead set on a 20 but doesn't want the 28" tall tire of the 315/35-20. The thing is forgestar offers many offsets and I don't feel they are taking advantage of that opportuninty to bring us an agressive set up.

I don't see why they wouldn't be able to get something custom for you if you called and talked to them.

I would think they ordered a bunch of sets all the same so the customer doesn't have to wait the 6-8 weeks to have them made. If this is the case then they have to stick to a standard Fitment and size selection. They can't possibly stock everything everyone might want. I would think if you want a custom set they could get them but then your right back in the same boat as ordering from most places. You are going to have a wait time. Some guys are waiting 10 weeks for their wheels.

American muscle is only selling the common sizes.. If you want something else you will have to deal with Forgestar and wait for 6 to 8 weeks ...

I'd be interested in knowing if you received a reply. Thanks!

Yes they did reply and said the Group Purchase was basically cancelled because of something to do with Forgestar. I forget off the top of my head and I'm at work but either way it's a no go.

With that said I shopped around and found a nice price: ordered 4x 18x10's for $1340 delivered ($335 ea + free shipping). I could have gone 18x11 out back for the same price but wanted to run all 4 of the same sizes tires. Also going for the lightest setup too.

For tires I'm either going to go with 4 x 275/40/18 Continental Extreme Contact DW's which you can find for like $147 each online...and that's an amazing price especially considering it's such a highly rated tire...in fact the #2 rated summer tire on Tire Rack. Also, those tires are quite light too because of their design. Only 26lbs for the 275/40/18's which would make the wheel/tire combo only ~46lbs each!

....or I might go for 4 x 295/35/18' Vredenstein Ultrac Sessanta's which is also an extremely highly rated tired for a good price $900 delivered for all 4. I keep going back and forth. It's hard to beat the Continentals with all things considered but I think I want a little wider...decisions, decisions...

What do you guys think of the 19" forgestars and 19" tire selection? I've been wanting 19" wheels all along but the price/selection seems way better with 18"

Ditto on 19" tire size...the size in the AM package just aren't going to cut it for the rear.

I used to think that way too until I saw the "18's and slammed" thread. these cars can looking amazing with the right setup and 18's. We've just become wheel wh0res over the years..bigger, Bigger, BIGGER! Not thta long ago an 18" wheel was really big! And in terms of performance and tire selection its by far the best.

Here's proof 18's can look amazing on this car:

Here's another 2011 that looks great on Forgestar 18's:

What are you going to do for a center cap on the front? I was told by forgestar that the 18x10 is not what they suggest because the cap will not fit. I guess you could just get a cap custom milled. If you have a place that can do that please let me know. If the cap was not an issue I would do the 10 in front and the 11 in the rear when I order.

I asked AM about this, you can order them with any size tire you want. The package price doesn't discount at all. Just go on their site and buy individually instead of buying the package. Talking about 18's being cheaper though, this is true if the sizes are more common.but when you start talking 295's and bigger the prices climb right on up there with the 19's it seems.
