I have two essential tools you could use to eliminate guess work when trying to select custom wheel/offset and fitment.
Tool #1 - WheelWise™ Wheel Fitment Tool, Tire Fit Testing Size Measuring Mockup, 5-Lug (https://www.speedwaymotors.com) – New is $100.00
Tool #2 – Wheel Fitment Tool by Embrace Making (https://embracemaking.com/products/wheel-fitment-tool-cars-and-trucks) – They have two models, one for cars and one for truck, this one is for cars. New is $115
I had to widen the holes on both to fit the 2006 Mustang GT bolt pattern. So, you should be able to see what I did on the pics. Once I widen the holes, fitment of the tool for me was perfect and I was able to visualize the tire and calculate the right off-set and whether or not the new dimensions interfered with anything. Both products have YouTube videos you can view for reference (I recommend you watch prior buying these tools). #1 tool is made out of heavy-duty metal (is somewhat heavy); #2 is hard plastic.
